Because of the work of Chicago Grows Food, Director, Elizabeth Berkeley received the Local Hero Award from .intl. Thank you so much for this honor and thank you for nominating us! Through community efforts and the CGF collaborative, we have had a great Spring, helping almost 5,000 people grow their own food!

Did you know you can eat some of your weeds. Here is a pesto recipe that uses Lamb's Quarters.

A donation from Epic Gardening led to a wonderful collaboration between Stone Temple Church, and Contemporary Farmer, Inc. to install and fill a garden bed with 2 cubic yards of soil! Thanks to the seedling contribution from Avondale Gardening Alliance fresh produce will be available soon!
