Our roaster is on vacation this week! New orders will be fulfilled on the 13th. Until then, here’s a recipe for a summertime treat: the shakerato!

This is a delicious, foamy, sweet treat. You’ll need fresh, hot coffee (espresso or brewed), ice, sugar, and a cocktail shaker.

1. Brew coffee. For a stronger coffee taste, try a long espresso or a Moka pot. But brewed coffee works fine.
2. Add sugar to the shaker to taste. Usually, 1-2 spoons are good; you can always sweeten later.
3. Add hot coffee.
4. Add ice near full.
5. Shake!
6. Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy!

This year's Peru Norte Lima micro-lot is sweet and nutty. Dominant notes of sweet chocolate, nutty praline and pecan, and subtle citrus fruit notes for a smooth finish. A well-rounded, easy-drinking coffee. Medium-bodied.
