🎨☀️ SUMMER CAMP Q&A + IMPORTANT REMINDER ☀️🎨
This week is the LAST week to sign up for our first summer camp, Art & Craft Camp! We only need 4–5 more kiddos to sign up for camp to run. If your child loves creating, crafting, and getting creative, we'd love to have them join us!
📌 If you'd like to learn more about our summer camps, our camp information flipbook is pinned at the top of our page! It includes camp details, schedules, policies, and more.
We've received some great questions about our summer camps, so we wanted to share some answers!
❓ What will the kids do during camp?
Each camp includes organized crafts, games, activities, and projects based on the camp theme. There will also be plenty of free play time for children to explore and enjoy everything Little Scouts has to offer.
❓ Will the kids have access to the whole building?
Yes! Campers will utilize the entire play cafe throughout the session.
❓ Is this a drop-off program?
Yes. Camps are drop-off only. This helps us create a consistent experience for all campers and allows children to fully participate in activities.
❓ How many children will be at camp?
We maintain a maximum staff-to-child ratio of 1 adult for every 6 children. There will always be at least two adults present during camp.
❓ Who will be supervising my child?
Little Scouts Play Cafe is owned and operated by Melissa and Alyssa. We both have childcare experience, are CPR and First Aid certified, and have completed background checks.
❓ What safety measures are in place?
The play cafe doors will remain locked during camp hours, and the building will not be open to the public while camp is in session. Safety is one of our highest priorities.
❓ What information will you need about my child?
About 10–14 days before camp begins, registered families will receive a detailed information form. This helps us learn important details about your child, including any allergies, dietary restrictions, medical needs, or other important information so we can provide the best care possible.
❓ Are lunches provided?
Yes! Lunch is included with camp and will be provided by Great Harvest. On your camp forms, you'll have the opportunity to let us know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions, and we can accommodate the lunch options accordingly. Families are also welcome to send their child with a packed lunch if preferred.
❓ How will I know how my child is doing during camp?
We will be using a parent communication app throughout camp. Families can receive updates, communicate with staff, and view photos during the camp session.
❓ My child has never been left somewhere before. What if they're nervous?
We completely understand. Starting something new can be a big step for both children and parents. We're happy to answer questions, discuss concerns, and help make the transition as comfortable as possible.
❓ Can I contact someone before camp if I have questions?
Absolutely! We are always happy to chat and answer any questions before camp begins.
We are so excited for an amazing summer filled with learning, creativity, friendships, and fun! If you have any questions, please send us a message—we'd love to help! 💛
