Starting out drinking super-sweet coffees and noticing your drink isn’t quite right? You may want to use our sweetness scale! Your taste is probably adjusting to want more coffee.
Madi - Me personally, I used to get a regular-sweetness brown sugar breve (made with half-and-half), so it tones down the coffee flavor even more. This was when we first opened the shop.
Slowly, I started wanting more coffee and less “milk,” but still super sweet. My order became an oat milk brown sugar shaken (still regular sweetness), then it switched to coconut sugar, which is naturally less sweet.
Over time, I toned back on the amount of grams 😂🫣 I went from regular sweetness, to ¾ sweet, to ½ sweet, to now asking for only 5 grams of coconut sugar in oat milk!! Hah!
We’ve had multiple of our regulars unsure why their coffees weren’t tasting the same. This has been the trick with every one of them.
It’s that Sips specialty espresso that converts you from sugar bombs like big chains have to appreciating the deep, rich, and smooth flavor of our organic beans. 😉🫶🏽
Have you tried adjusting your sweetness scale?
