I’m excited to share that BrezelTwist is now baking with 100% imported German flour.

Many people ask me why I decided to import flour all the way from Germany.

The answer is simple: because it allows me to bake authentic German bread the way my recipes were meant to be made.

German and American flour are not identical. Many American flours are sold as enriched, and depending on the product, they may also contain flour-treatment ingredients or dough conditioners that aren’t commonly used in German flour.

For me, switching to imported German flour means:
🌾 authentic texture
🥨 authentic flavor
🤎 staying true to traditional German baking

Many people also tell me they feel a difference when eating bread in Germany. While there are many reasons for that including ingredients, fermentation and recipes I wanted to bring the most authentic German baking experience possible to Florida.
