‼️The Erie City Mission will host a temporary overnight warming center until the Resiliency Center opens on November 26th‼️

Starting this Sunday night, November 9th, men and women in need of a safe, warm place to stay will be welcomed into the Erie City Mission.

Women will be welcomed into our Chapel starting at 8 p.m.

Men will be welcomed into our Samaritan Care Day Room starting at 9 p.m.

Both groups will be given a warm place to sleep, coffee, and snacks, with breakfast in the morning, followed by the daily lunch in the afternoon.

We thank you all for your support as we gear up to help those needing shelter during these cold days ahead. With snow starting this Monday it's crucial for those living on the streets to have a place to go!

No one will go hungry on our watch. This includes all beings. We will not let you lose your best friend bc of food insecurity.

Again, If you or someone you know is facing trying times please don’t hesitate to reach out. We will help or direct you to those that can help. The free little pantries are always in need of daily shelf table foods, fresh vegetables if you’re able and toiletries. Cold weather items such as hats, gloves, blankets, sweaters, pants and scarves are also needed. A lot of children use and rely upon these pantries.

Moreover, animals need our love now and always. We have multiple bags of food, litter and treats that will be rationed into bags and put at all of the pantries. Our local no kill shelters also provide some pet emergency food and serve as a pet food bank.

If you are able to donate, please donate food that is easily microwaveable or ready to eat. Food insecurity shouldn’t be something anyone should face. Not now or ever. We will always do what we can to provide food to everyone in our community.

There are many more, these are the ones that are empty the most. We fill them up weekly.

-250 W 7th (church parking lot, near bldg, blends in)
-953 Hess
-314 E 11th
-329 E 28th
-816 West 8th Street

We had the honor of sponsoring soup for Second Harvest Food Bank of NW PA Fourth Annual Empty the bowls! 🥣

We prepared a vegan and gluten free minestrone. All herbs used were fresh from our garden. Our second soup is a vegan broccoli cheddar.

Both soups were made from scratch and with love. There are a few tickets available still. If you can’t make it, please consider donating. We do our best to be sure no one goes hungry on our watch.

On to the next adventure. Thank you for the endless love and support. I don’t believe I could have made it through this experience and this past year without the endless conpassion, love and support from my friends and family. I’ve learned the lesson this has taught me. To be resilient in the face of any type of adversity. To be positive no matter what bc your purpose is bigger than all of the noise. Never, ever give up on yourself. Be the change you wish to see. And that no matter what you do, always follow your dreams and make them a reality. I’m so proud. 🩷
