MBPIC Dream a little dream of ice cream. To celebrate America's Bicentennial in 1976, Matt's mom made homemade ice cream as a special treat on the 4th of July.

McGraw’s Back Porch Ice Cream started as a hobby years ago when Matt McGraw would make ice cream on the back porch of his parents' house. The McGraw Back Porch was still only a concrete slab, but eventually became an enclosed porch where the family gathered for birthdays, holidays and other special occasions. After that Independence Day in '76, Matt continued showing an interest in his mom's homem

ade ice cream process and eventually took over the job when he was about 15 years old. Since then, Matt has continued making ice cream as a treat for family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. Upon his retirement in 2022 from law enforcement, Matt pursued his dream of one day owning and operating a homemade ice cream shop. In the spring of 2024, the ideal location surfaced and has been under construction. On November 14th, 2024, Matt's dream of selling his delicious homemade ice cream became a reality.
