Charlie's Place is officially closed at this time.
This is not an ending—it’s a pause and a new beginning.
Closing this location of Charlie’s Place has been one of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make. This space held so many moments of growth, courage, laughter, and connection. We are incredibly thankful to every person who walked through our doors, believed in our mission, and especially to those who so generously supported us. Your kindness carried us through more than you may ever realize.
Art and Soul is still very much alive and moving forward.
Our nonprofit continues, and we will be resuming art classes in the coming months. The heart of our mission has always been about creating space—for creativity, for expression, and for individuals to discover the incredible potential they hold inside themselves. Many of our individuals don’t yet see their own gifts, but we see them every day.
Charlie’s Place is not over—it will simply return in a different form.
While we don’t have definite plans just yet, we are open to new possibilities. Art and Soul’s Charlie’s Place was created to help fund a dream much bigger than a coffee shop: a creative center where individuals can imagine freely, create boldly, and feel proud of what they produce.
Our vision is rooted in confidence, not sales.
We dream of a space where individuals can make greeting cards, pottery, paintings, and more—where they can participate in art shows and see their work displayed with pride. Some art may sell, some may not, and that’s okay. What matters most is the confidence built, the joy felt, and the belief that their work—and they themselves—have value.
We are deeply grateful to Beyond Boundaries.
They are a wonderful and talented therapeutic agency, and we were honored to be part of their daily lives. Their support, collaboration, and belief in our individuals helped make Charlie’s Place what it was. We are thankful beyond words for everything they have done alongside us.
This community has changed lives—including ours.
The growth we’ve witnessed in our individuals—their confidence, friendships, and sense of purpose—will stay with us forever. That impact does not disappear because a door closes.
This chapter may be ending, but the mission continues.
We move forward with gratitude, hope, and a belief that something beautiful is still growing.
