First off, we want to tell our Missoula and Bitterroot community that we are so grateful for your support the past few years. A lot of you know that four years ago, we began with the dream of opening a food truck park in our Florence neighborhood. With our family’s help, we purchased a piece of land and began the process of design and permitting. Little did we know that the entire permitting process would take more than two years, and in that time, our area experienced unprecedented growth which resulted in crazy pricing increases as well as exorbitant new interest rates. We responded by scaling down our design and trying for simpler and simpler designs, trying every avenue we could find to make the project work. In the meantime, we opened our food truck to share the local bounties from our area’s food growers and producers and to promote our upcoming park. We have now, four years later, come to the end of the road for this dream project. We just couldn’t make it work at the cost the whole project has amassed. We are of course sad and frustrated, but we hope that those of you who have enjoyed our food will continue to support local food and keep seeking out local producers for your family’s food choices. If you ever need good sources for local meat, dairy, eggs, and veggies, and don’t know where to turn, we are always happy to help you find someone in your neighborhood. We will be running our food truck for a few final events in May, and we hope to be able to serve you at one of those!
