For everyone that has asked me to make them a honey cake like I made for the pop up ‘Let’s Eat Georgian’ Dinner dessert.

I am considering making small Medovik ( Honey Cakes) next week.
Many of you remember it from our Let’s Eat Georgian’ pop up dinner.
Yes THAT cake!!
What is Medovik ( Honey) cake?
Well.. It’s multiple..like a bunch of delicate layers of honey infused cake filled with a light tangy cream and frosted with the same cream.
Very soft and gently sweet with such an amazing texture and flavor.
Many have said it’s THE best cake they have ever eaten.
I won’t disagree. It’s that good.
The cake itself is more like a cake/ pie/ shortbread ish sort of morph. Not a fluffy cake. It gets very soft almost like a tiramisu does under the layers of the rich luscious cream.
It’s really hard to put into words.
It’s amazing. I have been semi reluctant 👀 to offer them because of all the work and time that goes into them.
And I know folks will order the crap out of them because as far as I know no one locally offers them.
I have been asked MULTIPLE times and over and over if I will please make it again. Like 4-5 times a week every week.
So here is my semi reluctant ( yes.. maybe.. ) Alright. Damn it.
The shelf life on them isn’t long.. 3 ish days due to the cream frosting.
I mean it would be edible after that but the cream would start changing texture and it would be a puddle at some point.
A very tasty puddle.. but.. ugly.
Why small?
I mean.. I CAN and WILL make you a large one but with the shorter shelf life you’d have to eat a lot of it pretty fast
Which I see no problem doing myself.
😆🕺🍰
Anywho
These cakes would be available for preorder. Like we pick a day and do them all on that day.
If all goes well as far as interest I will possibly.. maybe.. probably consider making them part of my regular menu.
I may wake up and delete this post in the morning.. I’m at 60/40 now.
Because.. it’s quite a lot to take on
But as of tonight and right now I’m feeling pretty solid about it. 🤷🏽‍♂️
Lemme know if you have interest in the comments and if there is enough yearning for this little masterpiece of a cake I will consider it further.
Price point I’m thinking will be between $25-$35 depending on just how big they end up being.
Ok. I’ve said what I’ve said…
Now what say you?

I have had multiple people asking about our pop up dinner this week so I would like to address and clear up any confusion and answer any questions you might have.
The Dinner is a pop up dinner that is held and catered to a business named SheSkin Design. The location is not a full service restaurant. The catering is done by Modern Marjorie Bakehouse l.l.c. a fully licensed and insured local company.
Do we use AI to create our flyers?
As any reasonable person would expect and understand, the actual food for the advertised event has not yet been cooked ( being a pop up that changes monthly) therefore it would not be possible to put pictures of the actual food on the flyer.
They are stock photos put together with our carefully curated menu using Canva.
If this were a restaurant serving the same things night after night we would then be able to get pictures of the actual food.
Having said this we have asked several local artists to create upcoming flyers for us so future flyers will be done by them.
We are always more than happy to share photos and have shared multiple photos to previous dinners.
No further questions will be answered about the use of AI. Period.
We are completely transparent about all aspects of this pop up dinner and appreciate your trust and support.
For any additional questions or concerns let us know and we’ll answer to the best of our ability.
Thank you!

Te slăvim, Românie!
As another Culture Club Dinner has come and gone I am thankful for everyone that showed up tonight to The Culture Club Presents: Let’s Eat Romania Dinner.
Without everyone coming and supporting these dinners they can’t exist so we appreciate each and every person that attends.
The goal was delicious traditional Romanian food and I believe we met and surpassed that goal.
I try to do significant portions so you can have extra to enjoy again if you want next day.
The next dinner coming up on Sat July 11th 6:30-8pm is The Culture Club Dinner Presents: Let’s Eat Egyptian Traditional Dinner. Tickets ⬇️
I’m REALLY digging the menu for that one.

Pâine bătută is a traditional bread from the Transylvanian region. The hallmark of this rustic bread is its preparation, wherein the crust is burned until charred and then beaten with a stick, creating a somewhat visual spectacle—the said technique results in bread with a unique texture, a smoky flavor, and a rough, rustic appearance.
This bread will be served with 3 different Romanian appetizers at our Let’s Eat Romania dinner tomorrow Sat June 13th from 6:30-8 pm.
We have a few tickets left. If you want to try some unique Romanian cuisine this will likely be your only chance to try Romanian cuisine locally.
