Don Artemio Fort Worth

Don Artemio Fort Worth Don Artemio is a culinary space in which flavors of the cuisine of Northeast Mexico are recreated with contemporary airs.

Chef Juan Ramon Cardenas, together with his culinary team, are constantly searching for the new ingredients from the region, in order to bring flavors that surprise the palate for each dish due to it's tradition, but also due to it's technique and presentation.

Long before Saltillo was known for its cuisine, it was known for its fossils. Ammonite shells — ancient, spiral, and unmistakable — have been pulled from the earth of Coahuila for centuries. We honor that history in our deconstructed tres leches, shaped in the form of that iconic shell.

Some desserts tell a story. This one tells several.

In the late 1500s, the first vines were planted in Mexican soil, giving rise to a winemaking tradition that has endured for more than four centuries.

Just a short drive from our home in Saltillo, Casa Madero has preserved this remarkable legacy since 1597.

Today, we are honored to share a small part of that history at our table in Fort Worth.

Great ingredients deserve time.

Our dry aging program is a reflection of our philosophy: honoring the product, embracing patience, and sharing authentic flavors with every guest who joins us at the table.

There are tortillas, and then there are Don Artemio’s housemade heirloom blue corn tortillas. Every day, corn is transformed via nixtamalization, ground into masa, rolled and pressed by hand, then cooked on the comal.

Each one is a vessel, a foundational part of our experience meant to enhance the dishes they accompany. Visit today to get your fix.

The Tacubaya starts with Condesa gin, distilled with Mexican botanicals. Freshly squeezed lemon juice, lavender honey syrup, and ginger join the flavor profile, topped off with black lemon bitters.

It’s light, but not a lightweight. Fresh, herbal and full of complexity. Join us for happy hour soon.

Happiness is a ribeye steak cooked precisely to your liking. Its journey to your plate starts here.

We cut each one in our kitchen, ensuring it is to our standards. And then, to yours.

Last week, we welcomed Lindsay Atkinson from Trefethen Family Vineyards for another magical wine dinner at Don Artemio. Four courses and an amuse bouche were perfectly paired with five wines, ranging from Chardonnay to Cabernet Sauvignon.

All of Trefethen’s wines are made from grapes grown on the Trefethen property in Napa Valley, where family-owned wineries like theirs are becoming fewer and far between. It was an honor for our guests to learn about their history and winemaking philosophy.

Click the link in our bio to join our email list so you can be notified of upcoming wine dinners. They are truly evenings to be savored, and a celebration of the alchemy that occurs when you combine great food and wine.

Fresh baby spinach, crumbled bacon and perfectly ripe avocado, topped with thinly shaved parmesan and tossed with an ancho balsamic reduction dressing. Don’t be fooled, this salad is anything but ordinary.

The Ensalada de Espinaca Baby con Aguacate. Pairs nicely with a steak or stands elegantly all on its own.
