A little behind the scenes of today's prep day! 🍪
From hand-chopping mini Reese's to mixing active sourdough starter, Jif Natural peanut butter, and pure vanilla, every batch is made from scratch. My cookie scoop decided to quit on me halfway through 😅, but every dough ball still made it to 75g.
Now the hardest part... waiting 72 hours before they hit the oven. 🤎

Meet the heart of my sourdough process. 🤎
This is my stiff sourdough starter.
I keep it this way because it's more stable, requires less frequent feeding, and helps reduce waste between bakes. Before I make my cookies, I transform it into an active liquid starter that's mixed into every batch.
Just one more reason my cookies are a labor of love. 🍪✨

I think the chocolate chip cookie is one of the most underestimated cookies out there.
It gets overlooked because it's "classic." There's a reason it's stood the test of time—and that's exactly why I believe a classic deserves to be done exceptionally well. Sometimes simple is the hardest thing to perfect. 🤎
