German Chocolate Cake 🤎🥥

This isn’t just a German chocolate cake—it’s a labor of love and a treasured family tradition. Inspired by my grandma’s recipe and lovingly adapted over the years, this award-winning cake has become one of Sweet Ruby’s signature desserts.

Layers of rich chocolate cake are filled and crowned with my homemade coconut-pecan filling, then wrapped in silky chocolate buttercream and finished with toasted pecans. Every bite is the perfect balance of rich chocolate, buttery caramel notes, crunchy pecans, and sweet coconut.

I’ve made this cake so many times over the years that I could honestly bake it in my sleep. It’s one of those recipes that lives in my heart as much as it does in my recipe book, and sharing it with others is one of my greatest joys.
