Starting next Saturday, join us weekly on the farm to lend a hand, connect with community, and spend time outdoors supporting regenerative agriculture in action.

Volunteer tasks may include planting, harvesting, weeding, garden care, farm projects, and more—all while learning about the work happening here at AOOA.

👩‍🌾 Farmers' Update

Good things come to those who wait! The carrots seeded in February are finally big enough to harvest. The honeyberries that take two weeks to ripen after they first turn purple are finally sweet. The flowers seeded on the bank of the pond last fall are blooming in spectacular fashion. And the baby birds we've been hearing chirping in the barn are starting to fledge! Sometimes late spring can feel like a lot of "hurry up and wait!" for things to grow and ripen, but it is oh-so-satisfying when they finally do and we finally see the real fruits of our labor.

Got strawberry jam skills? We’re looking for contestants for this year’s Strawberry Jam-boree!

This is one of our favorite seasonal Smackdowns—a friendly community cooking competition where home cooks bring their best homemade strawberry jam to the farm to be tasted, judged, and celebrated. 🍓✨

It's a day all about good food, a little friendly competition, and cooking for a cause.

Proceeds for this event support our Fresh Food For All program, which helps provide fresh, nutritious food to local food pantries in our community. ❤️

Contestants receive a one-time 25% discount on farm stand produce, plus 4 quarts of AOOA strawberries to turn into jam.

Two winners are crowned, one selected by our celebrity judges and one chosen by people’s choice. Each winner receives a trophy and a curated basket of farm stand and culinary treats, including AOOA in-house distilled liquor, seasonal vegetables, AOOA merch, and D’Artagnan charcuterie.
