Farmers' Update 👩🏼‍🌾

Here are some shots from the farm recently! Things have started to slow down after a week of consistently freezing nights. Our last flower harvest is drying in the barn, the tomato plants are in the compost, and the fall crops are all under cover. We picked up the last of the chestnuts, pulled the turmeric, and picked the final raspberries. The sheep and chickens are enjoying the last lush grass of the year as we shift from high season to fall project mode. There's plenty to harvest still in the field - the persimmons and carrots are sweetening after a few light frosts, and the greens are at their peak. Now we'll have more time for all those cleaning and fixing projects that get away from us in the rush of summer!

We are so excited to share that the farm stand will not close for the winter this year.

Here’s everything you need to know:

🔸 From November through March, we’ll be open for pickup and farm stand shopping on Fridays 4pm-7pm & Saturdays 10am-1pm. Swing by to grab your online orders, or stock up on pastured eggs, produce, and AOOA staples like teas, dried herbs, syrups, and more. (Note: the eatery isn’t serving made-to-order food during the off-season.)

🔸 You can preorder ready-to-eat (and ready-to-heat!) meals and farm goods online for easy pickup at the farm. You can even set up your favorites (like our rotisserie chicken with duck fat potatoes and green salad) as a weekly or biweekly subscription.

🔸 D’Artagnan favorites are here! High-quality duck fat, duck confit, duck bacon, and pork bacon are for sale in the farm stand and available for online preorder.

Thank you to everyone who has messaged us asking about Bilou's recovery.

She is definitely not a happy camper sequestered away from everyone! Although she is a bit lonely, she is definitely a trooper!

Bilou's next visit with the vet is at the end of the month, which is when we will be able to assess how the wing is healing. In the meantime, we are looking for an old radio with a long antenna to play her some nice music stations!

Thank you again for your messages, well wishes, and donations. We truly appreciate it!
