I opened the farm stand today with some fresh cuttings I took from my garden, $5/pot. I have Fennel, which you can grow and eat out just grow from the pollinators, who LOVE it! That’s what I do because I’m not a fan of fennel myself. I also have some Red Heritage Raspberries, plant them now to be eating them this time next year! I also have my Comfrey and Calendula salves out. Comfrey is good for aches and pains, Calendula is great for all skin healing, so cuts, burns, scratches, eczema, etc, it’s my go to to with everything gardening, farming, cooking, and kid injuries! I also have some elderberry syrup and some fresh washed eggs in the cooler! I hope you find something you’ve been looking for, make it a great day! 3530 Possum Trot Rd Grandview

Got to do another harvest yesterday, my garlic! I got 62 bulbs, some better than others, but I’m still happy with the result! Every year, I think I’m going to do better with my garlic, star it earlier plant more, water it more, etc, but each year, I get distracted and get it in later than I hoped 🤦🏼‍♀️ resulting in rotting cloves to plant and less to harvest! This fall, I’m hoping to do better🤞🏻 until then, I’ll be happy curing and using these beauties!

So it’s still a work in progress…but after 4 days I have cleared the majority of the weeds around my raspberry ands strawberry beds! I still need to move the yarrow to around the outside of the garden, and I need to at a lot more worships, but I am super proud of how far I’ve gotten! It is much easier to walk around and see the fruit to pick. My boys have greatly enjoyed gathering the sweet raspberries for the family! My fingers are sore from all the weeding, but my heart is full seeing my hard work in action, the beauty of nature, and the joy in my boys faces!

There were many reasons we chose to raise Idaho pasture pigs, from their size, to their fat content, to their desire to forage and graze, but most importantly we got them for their demeanor! We strive to have nice animals that our young children do not have to fear! IPPs are exactly that! The boys were out catching some morning rays and they decided to go visit the pigs and get some snuggles! I love to see them get involved in the farm and know they are safe
