Good Monday mornin', y'all! 🌧️❤️

Looks like the good Lord sent us another rainy day, but don't let a little rain keep you from a good home-cooked meal. If you can make it through a few puddles, we'd sure love to see you!

🌧️ Well, the rain may be falling, but there's always a warm meal waiting for you at The Gathering!

We sure hope y'all are having a blessed Saturday. If you're taking it easy today and don't feel like cooking, come on by and let us take care of supper!

At The Gathering, we believe that strong communities are built by supporting one another. Every Saturday, we'll be shining a light on a local business that's making a positive impact in our area. When one local business succeeds, our whole community benefits, and we're proud to celebrate the people and places that make our area special. ❤️

✨ This Week's Spotlight: HodgePodge BBQ & Bakery

Located just up the road from us, HodgePodge is more than just a great place to eat. They host music nights, are actively involved in the community, and feature unique items from several local vendors alongside delicious homemade baked goods. Of course, you can also enjoy their tasty BBQ and other daily specials!
They're currently hosting a school supply drive to help local children get ready for the new school year. If you're able to donate, it's a wonderful opportunity to give back and make a difference in our area.

It’s Friday! We hope everyone has had a great week.

If you want to come eat and hear some wonderful people play during the picking parlor come hang out with us tonight!

Quality vs Price

It’s an age old conversation that isn’t going away any time soon. Growing costs and an ever steady push to chase the dollar cause some businesses to choose lower prices over quality while others keep to the age old tradition of using the best quality ingredients they can find to serve their customers. Restaurants are no different and we face the same challenge.

At The Gathering, we go out of our way to pick the best thick cut bacon we can find, the way all bacon used to be (if you want thin cut you can ask for that). Our cooks prepare fresh baked biscuits every day from scratch, same with the gravy, the way that your mamaw did. Fresh local eggs, not the mass produced or scramble style made like tofu. We use high quality large sausage patties. We pick never frozen high quality beef for hand patting our burgers into homestyle thick patties; that’s getting harder and harder to find these days. Most have gone to the average thin style frozen patty that’s cooked on a roller or grilled in a few seconds. Good ingredients come at a cost and we do our best to keep our food as affordable as possible and we stand by our quality. Cindy or I would be glad to talk with you anytime about our high quality, so just drop by and ask for one of us.

As the old saying goes, it takes all kinds. If you want the frozen, cheap ingredients, there are plenty of options around, but if you want a home cooked style meal prepared by the hands of local neighbors that care and go out of their way to benefit the community, then look no further than 120 AP Carter Hwy and The Gathering.

We look forward to serving you delicious home cooked meals using only high quality ingredients. It’s not fast-cheap food, it’s great food made the way food everywhere used to be. Thank you all for your support!
