Wow... what a first year!
We're proud to announce that The Roost received an Honorable Mention in the Citrus County Chronicle's Best of the Best — and we don't take that lightly for a second.
To everyone who nominated us, voted, stopped in, left a review, shared a post, or told a friend — thank you. You built this with us.
One year ago we opened our doors as the new kids on the block with a grilled pretzel and a dream to serve up food that has personality, food thats fun and stay away from the boring. Twelve months later, we're sitting at 181 Google reviews with a perfect 5.0-star rating — and we're proud to say we're the only restaurant in Citrus County holding that average. That's not our accomplishment. That's yours.
We started as a roadside / farmers market pretzel stand. Now we've grown into a full breakfast and lunch café with fan-favorite sandwiches, Coop Coolers, wraps, bowls, and a menu that keeps evolving because you keep showing up.
But here's the part we're really excited about...
Year one taught us everything. We listened. We watched. We figured out what hits, what can be better, and exactly where we want to take this place next. And let's just say — Year Two has some things cooking that we think are going to blow your doors off.
New menu items. Surprises. A few things you haven't seen in Citrus County before.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for believing in a little local café that refused to be ordinary. This community is why we show up every day, and we don't take a single one of you for granted.
