To Our REO Town Clubhouse Family,
First and foremost, thank you!
After our recent post, the amount of support from this community was truly overwhelming. To everyone who came in, shared our posts, told friends about us, booked events, or simply reached out with words of encouragement, thank you. Your support means more to us than we can adequately express.
We would also like to thank everyone who took the time to provide constructive feedback. We have read your comments, listened to your suggestions, and are actively working to improve. We know there is always room to be better, and your feedback helps us get there.
We also owe an apology to those who visited and found that we had run out of certain menu items. The turnout and response from the community exceeded our expectations, and while we’re grateful, we recognize that running out of products is frustrating. We are already taking steps to improve our inventor planning and preparation so we can better serve everyone moving forward. This includes bringing in a new menu very shortly. This menu will include many of your current favorites but will also introduce many more budget friendly items.
We would also ask for a little patience and understanding as we continue to work through staffing challenges. Like many restaurants, we remain understaffed in several areas. Our team is working incredibly hard every day, often taking on multiple roles, working doubles all to ensure our guests have a positive experience. While we know we don’t always get everything perfect, please know that every member of our staff genuinely cares and is giving their best effort.
While we are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received, we ask that you don’t forget about us or the many other locally owned mom and pop restaurants throughout Lansing, once this moment passes.
The reality is that independent restaurants operate on very thin margins. It doesn’t take much for a restaurant to find itself in a difficult position. A few slower weeks, rising costs, repairs, staffing shortages, or any type of shift in customer habits can quickly create challenges that are difficult to overcome.
All of this can be seen in the recent closure of several local restaurants and just the true reality of how fragile this industry can be. No one starts a business expecting to struggle, and no community wants to lose the places that bring people together. Yet it happens more often than many realize.
When you choose to support a local mom and pop restaurant, you’re helping keep jobs local, and helping local families. The support doesn’t have to be extravagant. A lunch with coworkers, dinner with family, booking and event, ordering takeout, playing a game of pool, leaving a positive review, or recommending a favorite local spot to a friend will all make a difference. There is no better form of advertisement than word of mouth.
We would also like to ask for something that costs nothing but can make a massive difference: constructive feedback and fair reviews. If you’ve visited us and had a great experience, please consider sharing it. Positive reviews and recommendations help local businesses more than anything else.
On the other side if you’ve visited and have had a less than perfect experience, we genuinely want to know about it. We aren’t perfect, but we are committed to improving. We just respectfully ask that you give our management team the opportunity to address your concerns whenever possible. In many cases, issues can be resolved immediately and welcome the chance to make this right. There is nothing more disheartening to see a negative review about an issue that was never brought to our attention in-house.
We also ask that online conversations remain respecful and constructive. If you haven't personally visited us, we encourage you to learn about us firsthand before forming opinions based on comments or assumptions.
The reality is that people are often much more likely to share a negative experience than a positive one. While honest feedback is important and helps us improve, we hope those who have enjoyed their experiences with us will also take a moment to share them. A balanced conversation helps everyone and gives a more accurate picture of who we are and what we are working to build.
Our goal is to continue progressing. Every day we strive to be better than we were the day before, and we appreciate everyone who helps us get there.
The support we have received over the past few days has reminded us why we love being part of this community. Your encouragement has given our team renewed energy and optimism for the future.
We are committed to improving, committed to serving you, and committed to doing everything we can to make REO Town Clubhouse a place Lansing can continue to be proud of.
Thank you for standing with us, and your continued support!
We look forward to serving you again soon.
With sincere gratitude,
The REO Town Clubhouse Team
