I had everything I thought I wanted but I cried on the way to work every single morning.
Degree. Job. Paycheck. On paper and according to society, I was winning. But realistically, I was completely empty and lost.
I had made a promise to my mom, that I would take care of her. Retire her and give her the happy, easy life she never let herself have while she was busy giving me mine.
But I was stressed, lost, and doing it all through a job that was slowly hollowing me out.
Then my mom said something I wasn’t ready to hear: stop waiting, do what makes you happy.
So I did, I started a business with zero experience and no blueprint. Then I failed…I had to scrap it, rebrand completely, and rebuild from scratch.
After she convinced me to start over I did, this time as PanPan Café Arcade! I’m still figuring it out and learning as I go. I’m also still working a full-time job while I build this on the side.
I’m not where I want to be yet but for the first time in a long time, I’m actually living, not just going through the motions of a life I thought I was supposed to want.
So if you’re sitting on a promise to yourself, or someone you love, that you keep putting off, this is your sign. Failure isn’t the end of the story, sometimes it’s just the rewrite for a new beginning!
🌸 Save this for the next time you’re scared to start over
✨And follow along, because I’m building my dream life one day at a time, and nobody should have to do it alone
