3 things I wish I knew before I started a home bakery with a full-time job I couldn’t quit (the version nobody tells you).

Save this before you talk yourself out of starting! You don’t need more time, money, or confidence to start chasing your dreams. It won’t be easy but it will be the most rewarding experience!

Plot twist: I’ve always secretly hated cake pops. Too sweet, never understood the appeal, I would take a slice of cake over one any day.

But my friend of 10+ years wanted some, so I made them! No sticks (don’t buy those anymore), no frosting (already not a fan, wasn’t about to add more sugar), just cake shaped by steam and dipped in white chocolate. Of course I had to add some colorful sprinkles and edible glitter!

✨If you’ve ever made something you don’t even like just because someone you love asked, follow along, this is basically my whole personality.

I love my mom, so I baked her a nutella banana bread 🍌

Not a client, not prep for a pop-up, not content for the grid just her favorite, made in the same kitchen I built PanPan Cafe Arcade in. Sometimes the reason I keep doing this at all isn’t the dream, it’s the people I get to make things for.

If you’ve been watching and none of this has felt like just content, follow along. I’m not going anywhere because I’m building a life I love, one day at a time.

07/18/2026

While y’all are brunching, I’m filling cake pans for orders that are due Monday 🎂

No days off, but also nowhere else I’d rather be. This is the reality of being a small business owner! If you’ve been watching and you’re ready to be part of this, Hotplate is open. Link in bio, every order is proof this dream works!

07/17/2026

I mean, any excuse I can get to punch bread 🤷🏽‍♀️

I sold a couple cinnamon rolls at my last event, literally 2…so I’ll keep practicing to get my numbers up! I originally made these to celebrate that I finally reached 600 followers on instagram after a year and a half of posting. I’m honestly surprised that I was able to sell any and I’m extremely grateful for your support.

In the end, yes I did lose money making this product, but I will never stop finding excuses to celebrate the small wins!

✨Follow along if you’re building your dream because no one should have to do it alone.

My cookie boxes sold out at my last pop-up and soft cookies are a big reason why.

The secret? Keeping my brown sugar from turning into a rock! Watch till the end for the trick I use every single time.

If you’ve ever laid in bed running through every reason your dream probably won’t work…I need you to swipe through this one. There’s a truth at the end of this that I wish someone had told me sooner.

✨Save this for the version of you that’s about to give up.

People think I started a business for money or because I just felt like it…but the reality is that I started Panpan Cafe Arcade for me and my family.

I work hard on my business every single day with no days off, constantly finding ways to improve because I love it. It gives me such joy and pride that I am lucky enough to build a business in public that’s mine. The fact that I even surprised myself with the courage to dive into my passion is crazy. I love what I do and I’m so very grateful to be a part of celebrations for others.

I know my business will one day provide for me and my family and one day I won’t have to pray the day ends quickly and dread the next one. Until that day, I’m still working hard and building the life I love one day at a time.

I’d love for you to follow along for the journey 🫶🏼

07/11/2026

Start that business, chase that dream 🌸

Just me trying to make this dream reality one day at a time! Late nights and early mornings for a pop up event, trying even though I’m exhausted. I’m still showing up anyways and figuring things out as I go. And if you’re building something too, stay a while because I’d love to have you here 💕

07/10/2026

600 of you, I still can’t believe it 🥹

Tomorrow I’m trying something I’ve never sold before…cinnamon rolls, baked fresh for you. Thank you for your continued support, I can’t grow this business without you.

Come be the first to try one, thank you for joining me on my journey as I build the life I love one day at a time! Follow for dream chasing inspiration✨

Came home ready to bake for this weekend’s pop-up...but my mixer had other plans 😭

Fixed it with itself (yes really) but not gonna lie, I think it’s time to start looking for a new one. Please send help or send mixer recommendations 🙏

Pop up is still happening luckily, we’ll see how much longer my mixer can hold on for! Come see me this Saturday, July 11th starting at 10am at the Suncoast Hotel ✨

07/08/2026

For an introvert like me who over thinks and doubts every email before and after sending, cake decorating is way easier 😂

I’m building the life I love one day at a time! Follow along for my small business journey as I prove that introverts can make big dreams come true too ✨

07/07/2026

I follow other home bakers, like their posts, and comment on their wins.

Some people think that’s weird for a “competitor” to do. I think there’s more than enough room for all of us to build something good. Every small business owner cheering for another is just proof that this whole dream is possible. It’s honestly upsetting to see that in this industry there is such a focus on competing. I refuse to compete because I believe there’s room for all of us to succeed!

So please like, comment, and share your friend’s small business because supporting someone else has never once made anyone’s dream smaller.

🌸 Save this as a reminder the next time you feel like competing
✨ Follow along, we’re building different dreams but I’d love to support you on your journey and hopefully inspire you through mine!

Hi, I’m Scarlet 🌸

For years I followed the path society expected of me, climbed the corporate ladder and felt drained from the routine. At my lowest, my mom encouraged me to chase my dream life so I left corporate behind and dived into my journey of content creation and building my dream business!

Currently, I work a 9 to 5 and somewhere in the in-between the late nights, early mornings, and moments I probably should be resting…I’m building PanPan Cafe Arcade! A home bakery that started as a little dream and turned into something real.

If you follow along, here’s what you’re signing up for: dream chasing in real time, navigating your late 20s (messy parts included), the cute little moments that make life soft, facing fears I never thought I would overcome, and the whole honest story of building a business from zero (and much more).

This is a soft place to land if you’ve ever had a dream you keep putting off. Follow along and if this feels like your kind of corner of the internet, send it to a friend who needs it too.

✨ Come dream with me as I build the life I love, one day at a time ✨

There’s nothing wrong with being quiet or an introvert. I love that about myself and enjoy the comfort it brings. But I got tired of using it as the reason I held back on things I actually wanted. So I started challenging myself to prove to myself and anyone else watching, that introverts can build their dreams too.

Here’s what that’s actually looked like:

1. I film in public even though I’d rather disappear.
I did a 30-day challenge where I forced myself to film in public, every single day. Despite the fact that I wanted nothing more than to hide and erase everything, I did it anyways!

2. I keep posting even during the weeks my views and likes are almost nonexistent.
Some weeks the numbers are genuinely rough. I post anyway, because the message matters more to me than whether anyone’s watching that day. The comments and messages I’ve gotten from fellow introverts gives me the strength to continue.

3. I do one small uncomfortable thing every single day.
Nothing crazy, I’ve initiated conversations with strangers and actually committed to plans that I usually cancel. I test my boundaries a little every day so I can grow as a person and prove that I can do whatever I set my mind to.

4. I post the thing even when it feels a little too honest.
Every time I share a vulnerable story, I almost don’t hit post. As a private person, I hate attention and sharing my story feels embarrassing. But any time I do, the support comes flooding in and it makes me feel like I’m not alone in this. So I keep sharing.

5. I let people see the version of me that’s still figuring it out.
Not the polished version, the real me! Exhausted from my 9 to 5 and building something anyway. Finding out a lot about myself and growing.

I’m still quiet and introverted but I stopped letting my comfort zone become a barrier I couldn’t cross. If you’re an introvert with a dream that requires you to be seen, you don’t have to change who you are to build it.
🌸 Save this for the next time your comfort zone tries to talk you out of something.
✨ Follow along, I’m on a mission to prove that introverts can chase their dreams out loud!

Asking for a friend. The friend is me…

Genuinely spent years building a respectable career and then discovered my actual dream job involves flour on my shirt, edible glitter on my hands, and frosting vintage cakes at 11pm while questioning all my life choices. Nobody warns you that the corporate ladder might lead you straight back to your passions!

So here I am a 9 to 5 office worker by day, aspiring cute bake shop owner by night, fully committing to the bit (the bit is my actual life).

✨ Follow along because someone has to document this beautifully unhinged decision.

07/03/2026

I didn’t believe any of these a few years ago. I thought dreams required quitting everything stable. I considered staying small to keep others comfortable. I’m a former people pleaser and I continuously compared my achievements and everything I did to others.

Building PanPan Cafe Arcade on the side of a full-time job taught me so much! Slowly and with a lot of overthinking along the way, I started to change my perspective on my goals and life.

🌸 If any of these hit a little too hard, save this list for the next time you start shrinking yourself to fit an old timeline.
✨ Make sure you stick around because we’re proving all five of these true, one day at a time.

07/02/2026

295 days straight 🤯 genuinely didn’t think I’d make it this far.

If I’m being honest, day one felt like nothing. Just me, terrified, hitting post and closing the app before I could see if anyone watched. I had no idea 295 days later I’d still be here and more importantly, that you’d still be here with me.

Because that’s the thing nobody tells you about consistency, it’s not something you build alone, even when it feels like it in the moment. Every comment, every share, every “this is exactly what I needed today” kept me going on the days I genuinely wanted to quit.

So this isn’t just my win, it’s ours. You showing up to watch is half the reason I kept showing up to post.

I started this account as an introvert who hated being on camera, trying to build a bakery business with a full-time job and zero blueprint. 295 days later, I’m still doing both just a lot less scared and a lot more sure this dream is actually possible.

If you’ve been here since day one or you just found me yesterday or even today, thank you! Genuinely. This dream doesn’t feel so impossible anymore, and a huge part of that is you.

Here’s to the next 295! Follow along, because we’re just getting started. Building a life I love, one day at a time.

07/01/2026

I had everything I thought I wanted but I cried on the way to work every single morning.

Degree. Job. Paycheck. On paper and according to society, I was winning. But realistically, I was completely empty and lost.

I had made a promise to my mom, that I would take care of her. Retire her and give her the happy, easy life she never let herself have while she was busy giving me mine.

But I was stressed, lost, and doing it all through a job that was slowly hollowing me out.

Then my mom said something I wasn’t ready to hear: stop waiting, do what makes you happy.

So I did, I started a business with zero experience and no blueprint. Then I failed…I had to scrap it, rebrand completely, and rebuild from scratch.

After she convinced me to start over I did, this time as PanPan Café Arcade! I’m still figuring it out and learning as I go. I’m also still working a full-time job while I build this on the side.

I’m not where I want to be yet but for the first time in a long time, I’m actually living, not just going through the motions of a life I thought I was supposed to want.

So if you’re sitting on a promise to yourself, or someone you love, that you keep putting off, this is your sign. Failure isn’t the end of the story, sometimes it’s just the rewrite for a new beginning!

🌸 Save this for the next time you’re scared to start over
✨And follow along, because I’m building my dream life one day at a time, and nobody should have to do it alone

06/30/2026

I’m building the life I love one day at a time! Showing the world that you don’t need unlimited time or money to chase your dreams, join me to see my final trick ✨

06/29/2026

The version of you that wins? She wasn’t ready either, she just started anyway.

Nobody warned me that the scariest part of starting something new wasn’t failing, it was letting myself be a beginner. Because somewhere along the way, we decided that not knowing how to do something was something to be ashamed of. So we wait, watch, and tell ourselves we’ll start when we’re ready, when we’re better prepared, when we have more time, more money, more confidence. But here’s what I’ve learned actually building something from scratch:

You don’t get to skip the beginner part (nobody does). Every person you admire, the business owner, the creator, the woman who looks like she has it all figured out, she was once terrible at the thing you’re watching her do now. The difference between her and the dream still sitting in your notes app? She let herself be bad at it anyway. Which takes more courage than people give credit for!

So let me ask you something:
→ What have you been putting off because you’re afraid of looking like you don’t know what you’re doing?
→ What would you try if failure was just part of a process and not proof that you weren’t meant for it?

Here’s your permission slip:
→ Start something new you’ve been dying to try and saving hundreds of reels/tiktoks on.
→ Go try it and show up as a beginner, expect to fail to learn from it, not to be embarrassed by it.

Because being a beginner isn’t the obstacle, it’s the only door in.

💭 Let me know what new thing you’re trying this week
🌸 Save this for the next time overthinking and the fear of failure takes over
✨Remember that you got this, follow along because nobody should have to figure this out alone

06/28/2026

If you’re between 22-30 and questioning your purpose, career, and the direction your life is taking, it’s time for a change.

I was in the exact same position a year ago, and I used to think something was wrong with me. I had the high paying corporate job, a routine, and would say “doing great” anytime my friends and family would ask but I was miserable.

Nobody tells you that building the life everyone expected from you can feel like slowly disappearing or losing yourself inside it…

So if you’re between 22 and 30 and you’ve been quietly googling things like “is it too late to start over” at 11pm, I see you. No you’re not crazy, you’re just waking up, and that’s how it starts. Let me help you out!

I asked myself these 3 questions which helped me start being honest with myself and focus on what I actually wanted:

→ If money and time were not a factor, what would I actually want to do with my life?

→ What dream do I keep putting off until I feel ready and why?

→ Can I look back in a few years and be proud and content with who I am right now?

Really think about it and take the time to sit with your answers. Then do this:

→ Write down one thing you’ve wanted to try but keep talking yourself out of.

→ Write a note to your childhood self, tell them what you have accomplished. Would she be proud of where you’re headed?

→ Then ask yourself, what’s the smallest possible step I could make this week to work towards that dream?

The goal isn’t to blow your life up overnight, it’s to start working towards your dream life and every step counts. You don’t have to have it all figured out, you just have to stop lying to yourself about what you want.

🌸 Save this for the next time you forget that and follow along because nobody should have to figure this out alone.
