To the cute, 4’11” red haired, blue eyed “Iron Lady” who has made what it is today…..Happy 82 to you Aunt Carol, Mom, Grandma and best friend to who we honor today with her
💜Before AC took over in ‘90, The Hotel was only open for 3 months out of the year. AC got things rolling and finally turned a small profit years later with ALOT of patience, sharp business sense, faith and friends like Joan that were in the trenches with her from the start …scrubbing bathrooms together (before we had a Jean or Katie).
💛Was sad to see her working in the back the other day as she deserves to be relaxing on her porch painting a picture. When I mentioned this she responded confidently + with a sprinkling of AC sass:
…..“Don’t you know I DO what I want?!”….
And then more softly……“I got to make the stuffed mushrooms for my best friend (Joan) exactly how she wanted them.” Followed with an increased volume of “She’s been telling me how she wants this day to go for the past 15 years!” with her AC chuckle.
So along with her best guy & partner in crime, the Italian Stallion from (Carmine) they cut, prepped and prepared today…..for Joan.
When you think you’re tired (which may be true) or think Aunt Carol is just lucky (well, that she is☘️) …her success come from her RELENTLESS blue collar raised work ethic, sharp mind and getting the job done (especially when you’re short staffed) no nonsense “I live in the REAL world” attitude.
