Hello November 🍂

It might already be November 4th, but wow — I’m still recovering from October! That month was a whirlwind. Lupus really kicked my butt, and between gymnastic competitions, Halloween party decor, last-minute product labels, and what felt like a million Halloween cookie kits, I was running on sugar and coffee 24/7.

As much as I love spooky season, I’m honestly relieved October is behind me. Now it’s time to shift gears and start thinking about Thanksgiving (and maybe even a little Christmas magic 👀).

So tell me — would you guys rather see mini pumpkin cheesecakes or pumpkin pie cheesecake shooters on the Thanksgiving menu this year? Or should I focus on Elf on the Shelf cookie pickups for November 29th and 30th? I’d love to hear what you want! 💬

🎉 Happy 2nd birthday, Maddie! 🎂

The terrible twos are nowhere in sight, only smiles, sprinkles, and sweet memories on Maddie Street.

This custom cake features homemade royal icing sprinkles, so Maddie can practice her ABCs and count along with Elmo.

Inside, it is filled with a rich homemade chocolate pudding that tastes incredible and looks almost like Nutella. My daughter had a brief moment of panic when she saw me spreading it since everyone knows Nutella contains hazelnuts. Rest assured, my ghost kitchen is completely nut free. I make this pudding by melting dark chocolate from a verified nut free facility and thickening it until it reaches the perfect consistency that stays beautifully inside the cake.

The cake is finished with my signature vanilla bean buttercream that tastes just like ice cream.

Every element is made from scratch with care and attention to detail.

Okay, but WHY do I check the name and age on a cake topper 1,000,000 times before I finish it?!

😂 Like girl… calm down, it still says “Maddie” and she is still turning 2! But nope — my brain says check it again just in case.

Please tell me I am not the only one who does this! Is it baker brain? Party planner OCD?

Anyway — how cute is this Sesame Street theme topper?! I can already picture it on the cake, and it’s going to be adorable.

🦊🐻🦝 Woodland whimsy on a Tuesday ✨

There is something about these little woodland creatures that feels so peaceful and grounding 🪵

Each fox, bear, deer, and raccoon is hand piped with love patience and the kind of care only a mom can give because, for me, details matter, heart matters, children’s imaginations matter 💛

Maybe it is because my sweet Talia is a rainbow baby 🌈. After many failed IVF attempts, I made a promise to myself to create desserts that make kids light up with joy. Whether it is your little one’s birthday, a baby shower, or just because every cookie cake and treat I make is crafted as if it were for her 💕

You guys… I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. Like borderline obsessed. I am a Gryffindor through and through and yes I married a Slytherin. I know I know… how could I right? 🦁🐍

When this magical order dropped into my DMs I was so happy! I pour so much love and effort into every single order because honestly this nerd heart of mine lives for recreating the little details. Whether it is a spell book made out of Rice Krispies or edible images that bring your theme to life, I get way too excited about it. And you know what? That is the best part. Sometimes things do not go exactly the way we plan. For the first time since starting No Tricks Only Treats, I had a customer who was not completely happy with their set. I will be honest, I felt a little disappointed in myself that I did not fully deliver what the customer envisioned.

It could have been because the order was last minute or maybe there was miscommunication on my part. When I read “champagne glass” I thought I had what was needed, but it turns out the customer had a different style in mind. Looking back at the inspirational picture I realize it did not click with me that there are actually two different types of champagne glasses. I apologized and accepted the criticism because the only way we grow is by learning from our mistakes.

I believe in full transparency. The good, the bad, the iffy, and the challenging moments all help me become better every day. And while we are being honest, let me just say this—royal icing in gold is such a pain. Pictures always make it look like a perfect shiny gold, but in real life it can look too yellow or too brassy.

This journey is about learning, growing, and continuing to share the process with you all. Thank you for supporting me through the ups and downs. 💛
