It’s been awhile since I got on a sewing machine and finished a project from beginning to end. It has been such a struggle, to be honest. Being creative for just myself. A creative funk use to throw me off completely into depression.
But these last two weeks feel different. It feels more for me. That missing piece feels whole again. I don’t feel as guilty about it. I am feeling inspired actually. I am being kinder to myself these days. Maybe I feel more at peace with these creative breaks.
It really is just a promise to myself, to just get through a project, any creative project, no matter how long it takes. Maybe my spark will light back up again, actually I am sure of it. Maybe I am not alone?
Anyway, here’s a little picture of me wearing my kimono wrap blouse that I made out of some thrifted gingham fabric. I want to keep making more of these for me, because handmade clothes out of up cycled fabrics bring me joy. Thanks if you read through this, it felt long overdue 💗🧵🪡
