A Special announcement 📣
**Edit to add- I will be keep this page in case anything ever changes! 😊
A few months ago, I shared that I would be stepping away from my business for personal reasons. After five incredible years, I wanted to share a little more about that decision.
First, I cannot thank all of you enough. Sparkle Cake Designs has been more successful than I ever imagined, and I am so grateful for every order, every recommendation, every kind comment, and every family that trusted me to be part of their celebrations.
The truth is, I hit a wall.
Earlier this year, both of my daughters came down with a stomach bug. Then my husband got sick. Shortly after, my elderly father became ill as well. During all of that, I had messages piling up, orders to manage, payments to process, and farmers market commitments that needed attention. I remember looking at everything in front of me and thinking, I don't know if I can keep doing this.
Running a successful business while trying to be present for my family had become incredibly difficult. So I took a chance.
I applied for a position I had heard about, went through several rounds of interviews, and accepted a role as a pastry chef. A few months in, I can honestly say it was 100% the right decision for me and my family at this point in my life.
As much as I loved creating custom cakes and cookies, I've realized how much I missed being able to leave work at work. Being present with my family without constantly checking messages or thinking about the next order has been a blessing I didn't fully appreciate until I experienced it again.
With that being said, I have made the decision to permanently close Sparkle Cake Designs.
This business gave me more than I could have ever imagined. I'll miss seeing your faces at pickups, hearing the stories behind me your celebrations, and creating cookies and cakes for birthdays, graduations, weddings, baby showers, and countless special moments.
Ironically, I'm closing during one of my strongest sales years. The demand was there, and for that I am incredibly thankful. But ultimately, the demand became greater than the time I had available, and I reached a point where I was ready to step back, focus on decorating and baking again, and let someone else worry about ingredient costs, bookkeeping, and everything else that comes with running a business.
Thank you for supporting this little dream of mine for the last five years. Thank you for every order, every share, every referral, and every word of encouragement. I will always be thankful I was able to be home as long as I could.
❤️
