It all started right here in Lake Placid—1998, first date, late-night homebrew session, and a stout recipe straight out of a Grateful Dead cookbook. Fast forward to 2014, and that first date beer turned into Prison City Brewing, opening its flagship brewpub in Auburn, NY (aka ‘Prison City’)
Now, 25+ years and countless pints later, we’ve come full circle with the opening of our Lake Placid taproom in 2024. Featuring rotating seasonal beers and a little mountain magic—come raise a glass with us where it all began. 🍻🎿💫
