I want to give a huge thank you to the 5 Oaks Smokers crew for giving me the opportunity to cook the brisket category with them at the Sienna BBQ Throwdown. What an amazing weekend it was! Getting that 2nd place brisket call was truly an honor and definitely a great team effort.

I appreciate everyone on the team for all the hard work, support, and good times throughout the weekend. It means a lot to be surrounded by great people that share the same passion for BBQ.

Man… where do I even start.

First off, a huge thank you to Meridiana for hosting such a beautiful event and allowing VBH BBQ to be a part of it. We truly appreciate the opportunity and can’t wait to come back.

To every single person that came out, waited in line, supported us, shared a post, or simply stopped by—from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Y’all mean everything to us. This isn’t just business for us… it’s family, it’s community, it’s love. Being able to serve y’all some good BBQ and see those smiles—that’s what keeps us going.

And to my amazing wife… I couldn’t do this without you. You held it down like always. We hit a few bumps today with generator issues, but we stayed strong, stayed together, and kept pushing through that line. That’s what this journey is about.

This BBQ life ain’t easy—it’s long nights, early mornings, and a whole lot of hard work—but we do it because we genuinely love serving people and being part of something bigger than ourselves.
