I do my absolute best to keep negativity off of our business page, but I wanted to share my thoughts on something.
Lately, I've seen a lot of small businessesβincluding usβcatch heat for using what people call "AI slop" flyers.
Here's my perspective.
We spend countless hours running our businesses. We're ordering inventory, paying bills, covering shifts, fixing equipment, answering messages, cleaning, training employees, and trying to keep customers happy every single day. AI is simply a tool that allows us to create a flyer in minutes instead of spending hours designing one or playing phone and email tag with a graphic designer.
We're not doing it because we're cheap.
We're doing it because time is one thing small business owners never seem to have enough of.
Most of us don't have corporate marketing budgets or entire departments dedicated to social media. We wear every hat imaginable. We signed up for that, and we understand it comes with the territory. But we also have families we'd like to spend time with, and friends who have mostly stopped asking us to hang out because the answer is almost always, "Sorry, I'm working."
I've seen people say they refuse to support businesses that use AI-generated flyers.
If that's what keeps you from supporting a small business, I respect your decision and we probably weren't a good fit for you anyways. Personally, I'd rather earn the support of people who judge us by the quality of our food, our service, and how we treat our customersβnot by how a Facebook graphic was created.
To the graphic designers out there, I truly respect what you do. When it comes to professionally designed menus, branding, signage, and other long-term marketing materials, we'll gladly support your craft and will be calling you when its time to put ink to the paper.
To everyone who continues to support us, thank you. You allow small businesses like ours to keep doing what we love.

P.S. The day AI starts making our dough, cooking your food, pouring your drinks, washing the dishes, and taking care of our customers... I'll gladly validate the complaint. Until then, it's just another tool that helps us spend less time behind a computer and more time doing what actually matters.
