💛 A New Community Service Opportunity! 🧶

We are excited to share that the Milton Community Crochet Collective has received a special request from Beebe Healthcare’s Emergency Department in Lewes.

They are hoping to receive small crocheted sea creatures, animals, and fun characters to hand out to children during their emergency room visits. A small handmade gift can bring comfort, ease fear, and brighten a child’s day during a difficult time.

Safety Requirements:

* No beads, buttons, or any small parts that could become loose.
* Please use embroidered or crocheted eyes and facial features.
* Soft, washable yarn is preferred whenever possible.

We would love to finish our Baby Blanket Project first, so let’s all work together to complete those blankets as quickly as we can. Once that project is wrapped up, we’ll begin organizing this exciting new effort for Beebe Healthcare-ER

You do not have to be a member of our organization to help! If you know how to crochet and would like to make a few comfort animals for the children, we would be so grateful for your help. Every handmade item can make a meaningful difference.

Yarn donations are also greatly appreciated! If you’d like to support this project but don’t crochet, donations of soft, colorful, washable yarn would help us create even more comfort items for these children.

Together, we can bring smiles, comfort, and kindness to children in our community—one stitch at a time. 💛🧶

🧶Tresa has become a true rockstar! 🧶

Just look at these incredible handmade bags! Each one is crocheted from 100% wool and finished with beautiful 100% genuine leather handles and accessories.

The craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail are simply amazing. Every bag is unique, with rich colors and textures that make it a true one-of-a-kind piece.

Tresa’s creativity continues to inspire all of us at the Milton Community Crochet Collective. It’s wonderful to see how our members are growing, learning new skills, and creating beautiful handmade work that showcases the artistry of crochet.

Congratulations, Tresa! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you create next. ❤️🧶

🌧️🧶 We almost thought today’s gathering wouldn’t happen because of the rain, and I imagine many others thought the same. But we decided to go ahead—and we’re so glad we did!

Even though our gathering was a little shorter so everyone could get home before the rain, we still had a wonderful afternoon together.

We were especially excited to welcome a sweet new beginner to our Crochet Club family! A heartfelt thank you to Jenny Hortensius , who generously volunteered to teach not one, but two beginners today—a young child and one of our lovely friend. Your kindness and patience are so appreciated. 💛

We also want to thank everyone who came today with completed baby blankets and yarn donations. Lisa Porter-Keegan Janet VanGlahn . Every blanket, every skein of yarn, and every act of kindness helps us continue our mission of serving our community.

Rain or shine, it’s always about friendship, creativity, and helping others—one stitch at a time. We can’t wait to see everyone at our next gathering! 🩷🧶

🩷 My first baby blanket for our Baby Blanket Project is finished! 🩷

It was made with lots of love, hope, and prayers for the little one who will one day be wrapped in it. Every stitch reminded me why we started this project—to bring comfort, warmth, and kindness to babies and families who need it most.

I hope this blanket becomes a small part of a beautiful beginning for one precious baby. 💕

Now it’s time to start the next one! Who’s joining me? 🧶💛

Ps: Thank you Mrs. Patricia Wilcox 💕I really enjoyed this pattern that you thought us one of our monthly Milton Crochet Club gathering at Milton Public Library - Milton, Delaware

🩵 Our First Baby Blanket Has Arrived! 🩵

A huge congratulations to Suzanne Segarra for completing and donating the very first baby blanket for our Milton Community Crochet Collective Baby Blanket Project! 🎉🧶

Suzanne Segarra is one of our very first members. She joined our club to learn how to crochet, and today she returned with a beautiful handmade blanket for a baby in need. What an incredible milestone and a wonderful reminder of what can happen when we learn, encourage one another, and give back together.

Every blanket represents love, kindness, and hope for a newborn and their family.

Thank you, Suzanne, for your dedication, generosity, and beautiful work. You should be so proud of what you’ve accomplished! 💛

Who’s bringing in the next blanket? We can’t wait to fill our basket! 🩵🧶💕

💛 Special Guest Speaker Announcement 💛

The Milton Community Crochet Collective, Inc. is excited to welcome Raylen Williams , Licensed Massage Therapist, as our guest speaker at the Milton Public Library in September !

🌿 Attuning to Wholeness:
Honoring the Natural Unfolding of Your Journey

Raylen’s work is centered around helping people slow down, reconnect with themselves, and cultivate greater awareness, presence, and self-compassion. Drawing from her background in massage therapy, yoga, meditation, trauma-sensitive mindfulness, craniosacral work, myofascial release, and psychology, she offers a thoughtful and holistic approach to well-being.

During this special 20-30 minute presentation, Raylen will invite us to explore a simple but powerful question:

“Who am I?”

Together, we’ll reflect on the importance of slowing down, listening inward, and creating space for ourselves in a world that often asks us to move faster and do more.

Raylen believes that each of us carries an innate wisdom within, and that by learning to pause, notice, and be present, we can reconnect with our authentic selves and experience greater ease, balance, and wholeness.

What a special day for our Milton Crochet Club! 💙🧶☕

This project truly became possible because of the kindness and generosity of so many wonderful people.

A very special thank you to Mrs Patricia Wilcox , who donated both her time and her money to help bring our T-shirts to life. She generously paid for all of the shirts and the DTF prints, and even pressed the first five shirts herself. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for our club.

Another heartfelt thank you goes to Amy Leigh Simonson , who designed our beautiful logo. Suzanne Segarra choosing the colors. They specifically wanted the coffee cup to be part of the design because our crochet club was born over coffee, and that little cup represents where our journey began.

Today was even more special because our wonderful member Karyn Littlejohn purchased the very first T-shirt! We believe it’s a sign of good luck, and we hope it brings many wonderful things to our club.

Miss Patricia also created a beautiful front print featuring our café, and we absolutely love how it turned out.

We also have some exciting news! My dear friend Ekaterina Yüksel who has worked for many years at T-Shirt Factory in Rehoboth Beach, has generously offered to supervise and guide us as we continue printing our shirts. We are so thankful for her experience and support.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to the owner of T-Shirt Factory, who very generously donated the use of their printing equipment so we can produce our shirts. Your kindness and support mean so much to our club, and we truly appreciate your generosity.

And a big thank you to my sweet friend B Marie Designs , whom I met at the Farmers Market. She helped us purchase these high-quality T-shirts at a wonderful price, making this project even more affordable.

This has truly been a community effort. Every person contributed something unique—whether it was time, talent, equipment, ideas, or financial support. It is amazing to see what can happen when people come together with generous hearts.

As a small thank-you for everything they do, our coaches and members will be able to purchase their T-shirts at a 50% discount. The shirts will be available for everyone very soon!

This shirt is more than just a T-shirt. It tells the story of how our club began over a cup of coffee, how friendships were formed, and how an incredible community came together to build something beautiful.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. We can’t wait to see our members wearing these shirts with pride! ❤️🧶☕

🩷🧶 How are our baby blankets coming along? 🧶🩷

We’d love to see your progress!

Our Baby Blanket Project is officially underway, and we’re so excited to watch each blanket grow—one stitch at a time. 💕

Have you started yours yet? We’d love for you to share a photo in the comments! Whether you’ve finished a few rows or you’re almost done, every stitch is a step toward wrapping a newborn in warmth, comfort, and love.

Here’s a little peek at one that’s currently on the hook… with a curious little helper making sure everything is going just right! 🐾😸

Our goal is to make at least 30 baby blankets for local hospitals and families in need, and we know we can do it together.

Let’s inspire one another. Show us what you’re working on—we can’t wait to see everyone’s beautiful creations! 💛🧶

🧶♻️ Look what creativity can do! ♻️🧶

Treasa transformed her son’s old blue jeans into this absolutely beautiful handmade crochet bag! 💙

What a wonderful example of giving new life to something that might otherwise have been forgotten. By combining crochet with recycled denim, she created a one-of-a-kind piece that is both beautiful and practical.

We love seeing the creativity, talent, and imagination within our Milton Community Crochet Collective. Every project tells a story, and this one is a perfect reminder that handmade art can be both sustainable and inspiring.

Amazing work, Tresa Leigh Bohon Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us. 💛👜🧶
