Meet Sergio Serrano - our managing partner in Naples and Fort Myers.

Sergio first worked with our family at Junkanoo on Fort Myers Beach many years ago. He then went off to run his own trucking business for a handful of years, and came back to us in 2019 as GM at Two Meatballs Fort Myers. A few years later he earned his way to Managing Partner.

We sent him a few questions 👇

🌴 Born in Cuba, moved to Broward County at 18. Came to SWFL to raise his kids - his wife is originally from the area.

☕ Coffee order: his mom’s Cuban coffee.

🐓 First job ever: Pollo Tropical.

🦞 Favorite spot that isn’t ours: Lobster Lady.

🏖️ Days off: grilling with the family, pool or beach.

Opening a restaurant from scratch is brutal - the kind of thing that breaks most operators. Sergio walked into Naples and made it look easy, even though it never is. Calm under pressure, sharp on the details, and respected by everyone he works with. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without him.

This is home for us, and we’re glad it’s become home for so many of you too. ❤️

The results are in. We didn’t take home a win this year - but our Fort Myers and Cape Coral locations were named Gulfshore Life 2026 Finalists for Best Italian, Best Happy Hour, and Best Business Lunch. Voted in by you, alongside some of the best restaurants in Southwest Florida. That means everything to us.

Hopefully Naples will be there next time around - but we couldn’t let the moment pass without saying thank you from down here too. Same family, same kitchen, same standard.

For those who don’t know us yet: we’re Two Meatballs in the Kitchen. Three neighborhood spots in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Naples, built around the simple idea that good Italian food shouldn’t feel fussy - and shouldn’t break the bank.

Sit down at an Italian grandmother’s table and you’ll never once look down at your plate and think it isn’t enough food. Classic Italian kitchens don’t cook that way. Neither do we. Generous portions, real ingredients, family recipes - and a check at the end of the night that doesn’t make you wince. We think you deserve all three.

We’re not trying to be the fanciest restaurant in town. We’re trying to be the one you keep coming back to - the place you bring your parents, your kids, your first date, your oldest friends - and where you celebrate the big stuff too.

Every vote, every visit, every “we’ll see you next week” reminds us we’re on the right path. We’ve got more in store, and we can’t wait to keep cooking for you.
