Let’s start with a big congratulations to Jessica and Brian! 🥂

Obviously, the cake made it fine but when I got into the car yesterday and it said 101 degrees. 🫣 That’s one of cake designers worst nightmares!

Why?
1) we make fully buttercream cakes - which means it’s really only cold butter keeping the integrity of the cake together
2) hotter temps means the cake warms up faster - both during transport and while on display at the venue.

So we make some last minute changes. Luckily the venue had a fridge on site - shoutout to Berkeley City Club. The cake went immediately to the fridge instead of going on display as previously planned.

Uncontrollable factors like this is why I urge clients to spend the money on a great event planner AND book your cake through an experienced cake designer like us! 😉🎂
