Survive VA

Survive VA RUNDEAD is a zombie adventure race. Race participants attempt to reach 4 way points in the shortest amount of time. Further description of obstacles:

1.

Each participant starts out as a "human" and tries to avoid being captured and turned into a "zombie." Way Points. Participants are not told where the way points are located. Therefore, they are not bound to run one specific path, direction, or distance. Instead they are encouraged to find their own route to reach way points the fastest. There will be 4 way points and the shortest distance one can

run to find all 4 and finish the race is approximately 5K. Note: This distance is only approximate and not measured.

2. Zombie Apocalypse. At the same time that race participants ("humans") start their run, "zombies" will be released into the playing field from a secret location. These "zombies" will attempt to capture the "humans" and turn them into "zombies" as well. Once a "human" is captured, that person is turned into a "zombie" and will try to capture "humans" as well. Prizes will be awarded for the fastest "human" to find all way points and finish safely as a human, the participant who was turned into a zombie and captured the most humans, and the best zombie costume. Following the race, the SURVIVE party will continue with live music, food and drink, and awards. Registration includes entrance into the garden, drink and/or food tickets, and admission to the after-race party.

We may have found a new location out in Chesapeake for the SURVIVE race. We will be inspecting it tomorrow morning. Then working on price for the area. Keep your fingers crossed.

"Our weekly family walk through the Garden Sunday was a real treat. We are accustomed to seeing beautiful brides neverously primping before their grand entrance, but a bride with blue hair and blood flowing from her mouth was a first. Our kids had a blast spying on the zombies and warning the humans as they ran by. It brought back great memories of the old "Capture the Flag" games in our neighborhood.
