Ojai Community Fish Co-op

Ojai Community Fish Co-op Know your Fishermen We have put together an unusual, local, direct fish sales business to sell fish directly to consumers and restaurants.

We do hook and line fishing on a 17' Greenough boat. We mainly sell whole gutted rock fish/red snapper. When in season, white sea bass, halibut and ling cod fillets are also available.

“Every once in a while in the history of mankind, a book has appeared which has substantially altered the course of history,” Senator Ernest Gruening, a Democrat from Alaska, told Carson at the time.

What was it that allowed Rachel Carson to capture the public imagination and to forge America’s environmental consciousness?

If you are not already on our email list to find out when we are selling fish or at the Oxnard market and you wish to be, please message us with your email address. If you are on the list but have not been receiving emails for a while please message us as well because we might have the wrong/misspelled address.

We've been getting a lot of rock fish recently. If you are not familiar with this fish it is a great white meat fish with a more mild flavor, excellent in soups, stews or just a simple lemon and butter saute.

The park has two miles of beach front, with coastal hiking and a 50-foot climb to a beautiful view of the Pacific. The park offers diverse coastal vegetation with trails running from ocean beaches into dense redwood groves. The park also features outstanding coastal headlands at Soberanes Point. Sea lions, harbor seals and sea otters frequent the coastal waters and California gray whales pass close by during their yearly migration.
