Hello friends, family, and fans of Brotherton's. We were hoping it wouldn't come to this, but we desperately need your help.

The hard truth is that we are on the brink of having to close our doors for good. The first few months of the year is a very slow time for our business, and the bills have been piling up. We've tried avenue after avenue to reduce our costs and keep our doors open so we can feed you lovely people, but that can only take us so far.

We've been a staple of the restaurant and foodie scene in Pflugerville for almost 9 years now. We've catered weddings, company parties, and community gatherings in that time, and we dearly want to continue, but the situation is dire right now. We're not asking for donations, but what we do need is for you to get BBQ from us. We remember and deeply, DEEPLY appreciate how the community rallied around us after John passed away 2 years ago, and that's why we unfortunately have to ask you to help us make that happen again. There are a few ways you can help us!

- Come grab lunch with us more often! We know the parking lot can get extremely crowded, (we apologize, there's nothing we can do about that one) but feeding y'all for lunch is how we stay afloat!
- Let us cater your next event! Shoot us a DM or a phone call during business hours (512-547-4766) so we can get you set up! We'd love to help make your event more delicious!
- Come snag one of our specials this week! We're serving our sandwich special (Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Queso with a side of fries), and we'll be serving Smoked Chicken Wings on special starting January 8th!
- Buy an E-Gift Card! Through our online ordering system on our website, if you buy $50 worth of gift cards, you can get an extra $10 credit! Share the love with the BBQ fan in your life (even if that fan is you!)
- Spread the word. We're aware and extremely appreciative that we have such a loyal customer base, as well as simply friends, that want to keep us alive. Now more than ever we need your help.

I am honored and humbled that The Fifth Taste by Chef Gerald named this week’s special after me. The Braised & Grilled BBQ Tourist Char Siu was fantastic! We also loved the Garlic Butter Shrimp, Orange Chicken, and of course the Asian BBQ wings.

This Char Siu dish from The Fifth Taste by Chef Gerald is going to be amazing! I cannot wait to try this!

I knew I had to try the food from when I saw and raving about the wonderful Asian fusion in the dishes. When I saw this week’s special was Asian BBQ wings with gochujang, I couldn’t wait to stop by to try them.

My wife got the Orange Chicken Bowl and I got the Korean Pork Belly Bowl. Both were wonderful and had large portions. Chef Gerald wanted me to try his lumpia and I must admit, we ate the entire tray. I can’t wait to try more of the menu and the specials in the future! 🔥

Early this morning, Porky Butts BBQ experienced a significant setback due to a broken fire suppression water line that caused extensive flooding and damage to our restaurant. This unexpected event has temporarily closed our doors as we assess the full extent of the damage in partnership with restoration professionals and our insurance team.

We want to assure you that we are working diligently to evaluate the situation and determine a timeline for reopening. Your patience and understanding during this challenging time mean the world to us.

To our catering clients: we’re actively developing alternative plans to ensure your events are taken care of without interruption. Our commitment to you remains strong, and we’ll be reaching out directly with updates and solutions.

Most importantly, to our team members, our family, we are in constant communication and doing everything possible to support them through this ordeal.

I have really been into Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food over the past year and have tried to visit all of Omaha’s excellent restaurants as much as possible. I was really happy to see open as a new spot in this summer. We finally had the chance to visit today and are so happy that we did.

For appetizers, we ordered the Mazza Trio, which has hummus, baba ghanoush, and labneh served with pita bread. We wanted to order the Sambooseh but it was not available so we got falafel instead. The hummus and baba ghanoush were excellent.

Lisa and Henry ordered Chicken Shish Kebabs with basmati rice and grilled veggies. Dad had the Beef Shish Kebabs and ordered the Beef Barg Kebab and added a Lamb Koobideh Kebab. Honestly, the lamb was so flavorful and tender I think I would say it was our favorite bite of the meal.

The restaurant interior is beautiful and would be perfect for a date night or special occasion. There are also tables out on the patio for enjoying the weather as well. We also had an absolutely fantastic server who made really helpful suggestions and was really fun and attentive.

We will definitely be back! Please go support new local spots like Mazza!

We can’t visit the Twin Cities without stopping at for some sandwiches, matzo ball soup, and hamentashen from the bakery. My wife grew up in her grandfather’s Jewish Deli (Carli’s Deli) in St. Louis, so we are big fans.

This time, I ordered the Richboy, a huge sandwich with corned beef, turkey, salami, Swiss, American, and pepper cheese with Italian dressing on an onion roll.

Dad ordered the Sasha, a hot brisket sandwich with Swiss cheese and a fried egg on grilled caraway rye.

We ended up ordering even more sandwiches for the road, including the Shayna, with smoked turkey and salami, Muenster, swiss, and Parmesan cheeses in a Kaiser roll and the East Coast with corned beef, slaw, and thousand island dressing on caraway rye.

Of course we didn’t leave without cookies and other treats to take back to Omaha from the bakery!

Special thanks to our friends and her husband Robby and son Jonah for introducing us to Cecil’s a few years ago!
