We’re looking for a few HATCHING EGG TESTERS for EARLY 2027! 🐣
While I’m over here dreaming of dark chocolate eggs, gorgeous speckles, and colorful cartons, there’s another part of this adventure I want to get right.
Getting those precious little eggs safely from our coop to yours! 📦
Weather permitting, we’d like to test our packaging methods, shipping procedures, and ultimately, hatch rates before officially offering shipped hatching eggs.
And here’s where YOU come in!
📦 Shipped Testers: We’re looking for chicken enthusiasts willing to receive shipped hatching eggs, document their condition upon arrival, and share their incubation and hatch results. I’d like to test UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
🏡 Local Pickup Testers: We’d also love local chicken keepers who can pick up eggs directly from Magnolia Run in Orange, Virginia. This gives us a comparison between shipped eggs and eggs that haven’t spent quality time being jostled around in a delivery truck. 🙃
🍎 TEACHERS, WE SEE YOU TOO!
If you’re a local elementary school teacher interested in hatching chicks in your classroom, we’d LOVE to hear from you! 🐥 We’d just want to make sure there’s a responsible plan for the chicks once they’ve hatched.
What we’re hoping to learn:
🥚 How well our eggs survive shipping
📦 Which packaging methods offer the best protection
🐣 Fertility, development, and hatch rates
🌡️ How shipping conditions affect incubation success
🤎 How our shipped eggs compare with local pickups
Interested in being part of our 2027 test hatch crew?
Drop a 🥚 below and let us know whether you’re interested in SHIPPING - include your State + Zip Code, LOCAL PICKUP, or CLASSROOM HATCHING!
We’ll share more details as our birds mature, fertility is confirmed, and weather conditions allow.
