It was so nice of Meteorologist Brian Lapis from WWLP/News22 to cool it off for us a little here in Western Mass. 98 degrees, several days in a row was too much!

Brian is a longtime Dean's Beans customer and sent us this selfie. We dropped him a subtle hint in the form of some artwork on the packing slip in his latest shipment. Thanks, Brian! Now if you could lower the humidity level a little more that would be perfect! ☀️😎

Colonial Americans were drinking coffee long before they dumped tea into Boston Harbor or fought a war for independence. The establishments that served it were already brewing revolutionary ideas.

Our CEO Beth recently visited an ear, nose and throat doctor and when she mentioned she works at Dean’s Beans Organic Coffee, the doctor said, “No way! I love Dean’s Beans and have been drinking your coffee for years! You need to see my water bottle.”

He ran and grabbed his water bottle. Greetings Dr. Bob Eppsteiner! Here he is with his water bottle and prominent DB sticker!

Bob learned about Dean's Beans from attending the Green River Festival years ago. (He loves the GRF!) He heard Dean talking on the Dean's Beans Stage about our company values and how we actually KNOW the farmers who grow the coffee we sell.

We hope Dr. Bob had as much fun as we had at the Green River Fest this past weekend and got to dance to all the outstanding world music on the Dean's Beans Stage!

Happy Juneteenth!
Juneteenth officially marks the end of slavery in the United States.💚❤️🖤💚❤️🖤

On June 19, 1865, federal troops arrived in Galveston, TX to deliver the news of freedom. While the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed a couple years earlier, it took time to enforce it with the rebelling slaveholders. Freedom finally came to Texas when 2,000+ Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as Juneteenth by the newly freed people in Texas. The holiday has been celebrated since 1865 (sometimes called Emancipation Day or Freedom Day) and became a federal holiday in 2021.

Today we celebrate, while remembering there's still so much progress that needs to happen in our country.
