"For most of my life I lived in silence. When I stepped onto Xavier's campus something changed. This program gave me the space to find my confidence and eventually my voice."
-Arielle Miller / Project Search Intern 2026
Arielle stood on stage and spoke at the graduation celebration for Project Search. We are proud of Arielle and all of the Project Interns who supported Xavier Eats this year on their journey to the workforce. Big thanks to Missy, Jeannie, and Melissa our skills trainers. Shout out to Brittany Baird, President of the Exceptional Student Assembly, for leading by example.
"During my time at Xaver University, I completed three rotations at The HUB, Absurd Bird and the Cafeteria. I had the chance to work with amazing people like Tony and Pinky. Whether I was stocking supplies or prepping the breakfast bar, they made me feel like part of the team. In the afternoons I worked with Eureka helping prepare grapes for the salad bar. To some it's just prep work, but to me it was a place where I felt belonged."
"I also liked being a part of the community. ESA is a club where Xavier students spend time with us for weekly lunches and fun events. My favorite memory was our event in November - we decorated cookies and I even had an opportunity to sing. After years of silence, being able to share my voice through song was a moment I'll never forget. I didn't get here alone. This journey was possible because of an incredible team of people who never gave up."
