The Proper Brewing Company is a local, family friendly restaurant and brewery located in the historic Palace Theater downtown Quakertown. TPBC features a rotating selection of our own craft made beers and Pennsylvania wines and spirits. Our beers are made from quality, natural ingredients with recipes we developed and tested. Our menu is a changing selection of sandwiches, small plates and entrées

featuring local ingredients sourced and seasonal additions. We donate the spent grains from our beer making process to local farms as feed for their animals. The Proper Brewing Company is deeply committed to giving back to our community. We have raised our family here and will continue supporting the many organizations and events that make Quakertown special. The Wilsons are proud to be part of the foundation of downtown Quakertown and are excited to continue to live, work and make a difference in the Upper Bucks area.

Hey all 👋🏻 in the interest of honesty and transparency that I pride myself on, it took me 24 hours to figure out why our kitchen air conditioning wasn’t working & since I’m no mechanic or electrician, I had to call the “boss”; turns out it was just the breaker. 🤦🏻‍♀️ That being said our kitchen got very warm overnight. Sundays have been very slow during the nice weather & in my opinion, my cooks deserve the rest of the day off, at home in their cold AC. We want to give all the equipment and AC a chance to rest and recover, as well as our hard working employees (who were here very late moving our food inventory to make sure it stayed in temperature zones). We will be closing today at 3pm.

I appreciate your understanding in this matter and hope you can also appreciate the fact I don’t want any of my employees to suffer/struggle.

We’ll see you tomorrow to celebrate all those QCSD 2026 GRADUATES! 😘

Tonight we’re open 4–10:30pm and proud to be hosting packet pickup for 2026 Amy's Ride/Run/Walk to fight Pancreatic Cancer! Stop in, grab a pint, and kick off the weekend with us.

Tomorrow, Arts Alive! takes over downtown Quakertown! Streets will be closed as the community comes together to celebrate local artists, vendors, music, food, and small businesses. We’ll be outside pouring your favorite Proper pints all day long while the festivities are happening!
