Sydney Rae Chin alchemise them into new spells for ourselves that ripple beyond our digital pens. We break free from others’ perceptions of ourselves including our own.

Stories create liberation, justice, & joy into material change. Sydney Rae Chin is a media arts production major with hopes of one day becoming a showrunner of a Netflix or and Hulu series diversifying the web. She is originally from Philadelphia and is a proud 3rd generation Chinese American. Sydney is a proud member of Flawless Brown. She aspires to empower younger women of color artists to unapologetically tell their own stories, but also unapologetically live as themselves.

A of mine is Jenna Hutcherson from ; as a survivor of gender based violence, this musical has helped me move through the grief felt in the aftermath of what happened. It would mean so much to be able to play Jenna one day. Waitress was playing regionally and all over Tik Tok this past summer.
From the regional ones I got to see slime tutorials or press videos of, I love these people’s interpretation of Jenna:
