‼️ Please take a moment to stop, read, and consider helping these sweet friend’s of our food truck community ❤️
Dear Friends and Supporters,
First and foremost, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has stood by us through thick and thin. Your continued support means the world to us.
Many of you have heard us say, “Be kind to everyone, because we never know the battles they may be fighting.” Over the past four years, we have faced some battles of our own—particularly Manuel’s health.
In 2022, Manuel was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with kidney failure, which led to dialysis treatment. After a year of in-center dialysis, we transitioned to home dialysis on the advice of his doctor, given the nature of our business and lifestyle. He has now been on the kidney transplant waiting list for about two years.
Until recently, only a few close friends and family members were aware of this situation, as we did not want it to interfere with our business operations. However, Manuel’s doctor has recently encouraged us to reach out to the community in hopes of finding a potential kidney donor.
We understand that this is a significant and deeply personal request. Our goal in sharing this is simply to explore every possible avenue to help Manuel regain his health. Despite these challenges, we remain committed to keeping The Burgery thriving and continuing to serve our community with the same dedication and love as always.
Over the past few years, I have done my best to manage the business and reduce Manuel’s stress, and we are profoundly grateful for the community’s unwavering support. Many of you have expressed excitement about the idea of us opening a brick-and-mortar location, and we share that dream. However, at this time, we must place those plans on hold until Manuel has fully recovered—because The Burgery wouldn’t be the same without him.
If you or someone you know would be willing to consider organ donation, please reach out to us or contact UAMS in Little Rock for more information about becoming a kidney donor.
We know that times are difficult for many, and we deeply appreciate you taking the time to read our story. Thank you for your kindness, understanding, and continued support. We will keep striving to deliver the best food and service possible.
