Well, this was a beautiful surprise.

A few weeks ago, I learned that Black Fig & Collection had been nominated for Best New Business 2025, & yesterday morning, I found out we had also been nominated for Best New Caterer 2025 in the Ponte Vedra Recorder’s Best of the Best awards.

As we celebrate our first year in business, these nominations truly feel bigger than me. They represent every grazing table, every gathering, every late night, every leap of faith, & every person who has allowed Black Fig to be a small part of their celebrations.

Turns out they were right.

In the last year, that kitchen became hundreds of charcuterie boards, countless grazing tables, late nights, early mornings, a whole lot of risk, & a business I’m incredibly proud of.

Motherhood. Marriage. A growing business.

I stopped waiting for permission to choose one.

So yes, you’ll find me in the kitchen.
