I am not good at this, so please bare with me. Words cannot express how I am feeling right now. It is very hard for me to accept help, I feel like someone else is always more deserving than I am. I would much rather be on the giving side of any situation. I am thankful for our community and my Spanky’s Family and friends. I am humbled by the support from all of you and from people I don’t even know that organized, donated, volunteered your time, all of you that came out, and hopefully enjoyed yourselves, those that bid and bought items and also for all of the cash donations. I am so afraid that I might leave someone out, so I am not naming names, I wouldn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings or want to make anyone feel like they were not appreciated, that being said, I am so blessed and thankful to have all of you in my life and to be able to call you family. I am really thankful for all of the effort that you all made to help me. Thank you all so very much! There is so much love in our community.

Okay Puryear, Our girl needs us! Bid Last And Win will be doing a benefit auction for us!! FOOD, LIVE AND SILENT AUCTION, LIVE MUSIC AND MORE at SPANKYS in PURYEAR On Saturday November the 4th at 3-everyone leaves bring a chair weather permitting most activities will be in the parking lot with silent auction inside. I’ll make a big Kettle of chicken soup or chili maybe both let me check around Everyone loves Kim’s pies so she will have some up for grabs!! Scott and Amanda Blakenship have things we will donate also. If anyone would like to contribute any items or services they will be GREATLY appreciated! We will be taking donations till Friday night. You can drop any items or gift certificates off at PPM Puryear Performance Motorsports from 7am-4pm Monday through Friday. You can also bring items to our front porch at home tomorrow or you can contact Kim or Amanda and we will come to you and pick up any items! Kim has shared some of peoples greatest memories with them. Families have found out about pregnancies, engagements, new jobs sitting at those tables in spankys she has also loved making our birthday meals for so many. Let’s come together and love her and be there for as a community! Thank you so much Junior Staggs for being willing to jump straight into this on short notice without hesitation.

I am sorry I haven’t updated in a while. I am doing much better, I came out of ccu and back to a regular room. They have decided against surgery because they were afraid that my lungs would collapse. They have gotten me off of the bipap machine completely, they have gotten me off of high flow oxygen and I am now back to regular oxygen at 4 liters when up and moving. I have been walking and sitting in the chair. I am still on 2 different iv antibiotics. They should be repeating my ct scan with contrast tomorrow, then it will be more clear when I will be able to get discharged for either home or to rehab. Thank you everyone for all of your prayers! Hopefully we will know more soon.

Not much to update, still trying to fight the infection in mostly my right lung. Right now surgery is not an option to drain the lung, they are afraid of the lung collapsing. I am doing a lot better today and able to stay off of the bipap machine for breathing (as long as I am not talking much) you know that is hard for me…lol
If and when I have any news, I will keep you updated!

AS IT STANDS RIGHT NOW, SPANKY’S WILL BE CLOSED AT LEAST THROUGH TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2023. THEY ARE GOING TO KEEP ME IN THE HOSPITAL A LITTLE LONGER.
