I rarely draw my designs out before decorating because I'm uncharacteristically confident in my abilities to make things up on the spot.

Sometimes, though, I really have to draw things out in order to make sure that the designs are consistent and cohesive with the brief I was given and each other. I was given a lot of creative freedom with this set, so organizing my thoughts and finalizing my vision was a must.

This tea party set πŸ«–β˜•οΈ was for a baby shower and I wanted to show the subtle differences between the sketches I made and the actual finished set! It's cool to see imo. You guys can disagree, but you're wrong.

If I had more time I'd remake them, but I'm honestly still very proud of these guys πŸ₯Ή I had only been cookie-ing less than a year when I made these and they're not perfect, but I'll never stop loving them ❀️

Today I'm celebrating the things that 𝘒𝘀𝘡𝘢𝘒𝘭𝘭𝘺 make America great: immigrant families, diverse communities, small businesses, the sharing of cultures, my Chinese family, food from all over the world, hearing different languages spoken every day, and chocolate cake shared with my best friends 🍫

These things are just as American as hot dogs and trucks that are too big, so I dedicate this 4th of July to them and the greatness they bring this country πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
