We closed at 2pm this week so our staff could spend time with family for Halloween. I posted on socials, adjusted our Google hours, put a sign up, turned off toast takeout…. But forgot to adjust our doordash hours. While you were refunded for your canceled order once the dasher reported we were closed, I understand it can be frustrating! I’d love to offer a gift card towards a future visit as an apology. Mistakes happen, but I’m always here to own them! Hopefully this finds you since DoorDash can’t provide future order credits or contact info for cancelled orders 🙂

Please note for this week we will not be offering our evening hours October 29th-31st and will be closing at 2pm daily. Our amazing team comes from towns all around that have different trick or treat schedules so to ensure they get to spend the night with their kiddos we’ll be closing early this week. We’ll be back to our regular hours next week!

It was a great Thursday Rochester Fellowship Kitchen with 90 meals served by myself and the 5 other volunteers! Now that I’ve been there for a few months I love hearing the folks in line say “oh he’s here tonight so it’s gotta be good”. This month I cooked up shepards pie, a spinach salad, fresh fruit, bread and butter, desserts and drinks. The strawberry and chocolate milk were a fan favorite, and something different than the usual! Meals are served Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and several groups including mine could use more volunteers! It’s a truly great opportunity to give back, so if you are interested shoot them a message 🙂

Our new fall girl dinner menu starts this Thursday 10/8! $30 gets you a drink, appetizer, entree, and dessert. New items include butternut squash ravioli, pumpkin cheesecake, pecan butter topped apple waffle, and olive caprese bites. Tag your friends to remind them it’s time to sip, snack, and socialize 🥂

The holidays are a time to be thankful for what we have, reconnect with loved ones, and come around the table to a delicious meal. For many in our communities the holidays are also a challenge, especially with the increased cost of just about everything. As part of our commitment to our community last year I spent the day before Thanksgiving preparing fruit cups, parfaits, and pastries for SHARE Funds 5k fundraiser, and cooking the thanksgiving day meal for Rochester Fellowship Kitchen (and again for their Christmas Day meal).

This year I am looking to do even more for the holidays, and share our passion for food with those in need. If you know of a great organization in the Rochester/Dover area that could benefit from a food donation this holiday season send us a message, or email me at [email protected]
Whether it be a shelter, soup kitchen, community fridge, or maybe some deserving local families that could use extra help I would love to hear more! Thanks again for all your support that makes it possible to give back to others😀
