Appreciation post to our friends at Manna … . Manna recently closed down for a little summer break to give their staff some much deserved time off… but they STILL made sure we had baked goods while they were on break. Absolute legends. Manna Bakery has allowed us to sell their baked goods since we opened in 2024, and we are grateful they are in our community. They are back open downtown today and we highly suggest you go there. . See you this weekend On 12th street! Rumor has it that tomorrow is the first day of Summer. Idk about that… seems like summer weather has already started. We’ve got 6 pictures from Offbeat, and the rest from Furbish. Get your scroll on.
At Offbeat, we brightened up the back garage area with a new garage door. It feels fantastic back there. The new library is coming together as well, and we will be doing a donation book day soon. Donate a book, get a drink… something like that. We haven’t worked out the details yet. As we slowly design that back area to feel more like a cozy nook for readers, enjoy the vitamin D. In picture 6, we have been collaborating with Chloe Frydenlund to create a few characters that represent the 6 areas of Offbeat. Each animal has there own vibe, and… we’ve got this idea to make merch based off of these critters. No ai allowed… we’ve support human artists here.
Directly across the street at Furbish they are summer ready. Inside is fully designed and decorated, the plant area is fully stocked with houseplants, and the outdoor market is FULL of outdoor furniture, DIY pieces, and much more.

When did we all agree moms like brunch? Was there a vote? A brunch summit? A secret brunch council? We honestly don’t know. We are famously brunchless over here at Offbeat Coffee. No pancakes. No mimosas. No guy named Trevor explaining aioli to you.

BUT… Salem actually has some killer brunch spots, so here are a few places we genuinely think your mom would love:

— cozy atmosphere, huge portions, and the type of breakfast that makes you need a nap afterward. In a good way.

— apparently Gordon Ramsay reviewed this place online? Which feels sus. But also… this place absolutely slaps. Gordon was right.

— there’s a decent chance you’ll have to wait forever or physically fight for your table, but honestly that’s part of the experience now. Show mom you can handle a mid morning brawl.

— one of Salem’s underrated gems. Plus the drive out there gives you extra time to tell your mom she was right about literally everything.

After brunch, come to 12th street. Moms get free tea today at Offbeat, and plants are 50% off over at Furbish. You don’t have to prove you’re a mom… we will just use the honor system here.

Just fill out the form on our website and we’ll take care of the rest. If you want the whole place, we also do after-hours rentals. $150/hour gets you the space, two baristas, and full control of the vibe. Music, layout, whatever you’ve got in mind.
