Just reported: Local Mar-Del watermelons are expected to arrive next week. Keep an eye out for the “MarDelicious” sticker or labels that say Grown in Maryland & Delaware so you know you’re bringing home fresh, locally grown watermelon!

The USSSA Eastern National Championship is officially underway, and we’re excited to be sponsoring this tournament over the next few weeks!

Yesterday, teams from across the country traveled in and were welcomed at the block party, where they enjoyed refreshing watermelon slices before heading into the opening ceremony and parade.

Games officially began today, and watermelon was waiting for players at the Snow Hill fields! Made up of 92% water and packed with electrolytes, vitamins, and the amino acid citrulline, watermelon helps athletes stay hydrated, support recovery, and perform their best on and off the field.

Good luck to all the teams competing. Here’s to a great tournament filled with fun, competition, and plenty of watermelon!🍉🥎

Day 2 at the 34th Annual Giant Barbecue Battle was another incredible day! 🍉🇺🇸

The day was spent handing out samples from six more bins of sweet, juicy watermelon to event attendees!

We also hosted our Watermelon Eating Contest. Thank you to everyone who participated, and congratulations to all of our winners! 🍉🏆

A huge thank you to Melon 1 for generously donating the watermelon and to the National Watermelon Promotion Board for sponsoring this incredible promotion.

It was an amazing weekend representing the Mar-Del Watermelon Association, seeing the joy watermelon brought to so many people, and celebrating summer with visitors from all over the country.

I’m so grateful for opportunities like these to promote our growers and the watermelon industry. ❤️🍉
