So what is Sift Flavor Club?

It’s a limited-edition bake-at-home box inspired by the Sift flavors and treats so many of you still remember.

Old bakery favorites. Seasonal throwbacks. Frostings, fillings, sprinkles, and recipes from the Sift world, rebuilt so you can make them at home.

As I rebuild Sift around a new line of cocktail-inspired cake mixes, Flavor Club lets me bring recipes from the Sift vault in limited bake-at-home boxes.

I realized I’ve been showing you little pieces of what I’m building, but I haven’t really explained the bigger picture.

This new version of Sift is a cake mix brand.

The main line I’m building is a small collection of cocktail-inspired cake mixes, starting with Pink Champagne.

The goal is for those mixes to eventually live in shops, gift stores, and places far beyond where our bakeries ever reached.

And then there’s Sift Flavor Club.

Flavor Club is where I get to bring back pieces of the old Sift bakery case in limited bake-at-home boxes: throwback flavors, frostings, fillings, whoopie cookies, seasonal favorites, and recipes from the Sift world.

So the cocktail-inspired mixes are where Sift is going.

Flavor Club is how I bring pieces of the old Sift back.

One mix, one box, and one recipe at a time.

Flavor testing is loading… 👀

Over the past few days (and nights), I’ve been testing cake colors, whoopie cookies, old Sift favorites, and a few ideas for what Flavor Club can become.

This is the part I missed: playing with flavors, colors, figuring out what works, and building something that feels very Sift. 🍒

Not every test makes the final box, but every test helps shape it.

I had so many feelings after closing the bakery.

Regret. Grief. Doubt.
Wondering if anyone would remember Sift.
Wondering if the legacy I wanted to leave for my kids had disappeared with it.

And then I get messages like this.

A birthday cake. A memory. A reminder that Sift still means something to people.
