Every kitchen. I can't help but lay it out and live in it as though it were mine. I was visiting my mom earlier this month and hung out in their guest cabin, and for a while, I thought, "Yes, i can totally go back to a skinny oven. I can totally go back to a one-basin sink." When in a place of calm, it's not a far leap to design a life. And I will never stop advocating for people to learn in a small, inconvenient kitchen. I will never stop saying you need to earn your right to adequate countertop space. Don't tell me you need a bigger pantry for packaged garbage. Don't tell me you need an island "for entertaining" if you won't invite your neighbor over for dinner.
Spaces that are do not have to be large and often aren't. Start small. Invite one. Hand wash your dishes. Be inconvenienced.

Hi All! I would apologize for the April hiatus, but also, no. I needed a break, some quiet, some time to take care of other things. But we're back! Use-It-Up is still swinging, I should be rolling out tortillas this week, and more content will be hitting the gram. But for now, just me, Magoo, new Birks, and repotting the rootbound spider plant while we listen to some Sierra Ferrell.

This one is available fresh only and is restocked at today along with spaghetti, fettuccine, tagliatelle, and pappardelle. The rest of the lineup is stocked in both fresh and dried forms.

Use-It-Up Challenge "Anthocyanin Edition"
I know these look alien and weird, and I have no rebuttal to those accusations. BUTTTTTT, aren't they a pretty color??

I had some leftover purple sweet potatoes in my freezer that I had chopped up and waiting for a day that I was not tired of purple sweet potatoes. So I took them and mashed them and formed them into these alien patties. I figured they'll go rather nicely with a fried egg and some cheese.

Please welcome my Paint Chip Kitchen cohort: Maggie Moo Cow! She is my OOO (oven operations overseer). She is afraid of bundt pans and deeply intrigued by bunnies and whatever is in the trash can.
