Fire Cider 🌶🔥🌿

This is one of the easiest (and most affordable) herbal remedies you can make. That's because you can find just about everything you need in your local grocery store: horseradish, chilies, ginger, garlic, and onion.

If you're like me, you'll throw in a few other botanicals for good measure. I'm partial to rosemary which has a robust flavor on its own and, like the other herbs, has antiviral and anti-inflammatory compounds.

Most people take it off the spoon to ward off winter bugs (a funny thing to write now that we seem to have a perpetual bug to ward off); however, I like it for its culinary attributes.

Fire cider is sweet and sour and hot and garlicky. ALL GOOD THINGS. And it makes an excellent addition to vinaigrettes or marinades or even a Bloody Mary.

It's super simple to make:
1. Pack herbs in a jar.
2. Add vinegar.
3. Wait.
4. Strain and add honey.
