Black Walnut Ranch

We’re a family of six adventuring through farm life with chickens, honeybees, cats, a loyal Australian Shepherd, and two fluffy Great Pyrenees pups.

We love animals, wide-open spaces, and sharing the craziness on the farm!

We found this momma sitting on eggs a couple weeks ago in the barn.. Today we have 8 cute little baby chicks! 🐤Praying they all aren’t roosters!

🍅🍅 Anyone want to take a guess at how many pounds of tomatoes we’ll be saucing up?! 🍅

Not too shabby for our first year of gardening! We’ve definitely learned a lot along the way, but I’d say our garden treated us pretty well this year! 🌱❤️

Drop your guess below! 👇

🐝 Can you spot the queen? 👑

It’s always fun to find her when inspecting a hive, but it’s so important to make sure she gets back in safely!

During peak season, a strong queen can lay up to around 2,000 eggs a day! 🤯

🐓 🍗 This was a few weeks ago. Gabby had her market bird show outfit on working with her chickens, while Montgomery is lounging in his normal everyday attire. 😆 He’s with Honey, one of our 2 Great Pyrenees pups!
