Although my dad has been gone for nearly 11 years, I still miss him. There are moments when I wish I could pick up the phone for a little guidance, some sound advice, or simply one of his reassuring words.

Father's Day has a way of reminding us that the people we love never really leave our hearts. Their lessons, values, laughter, and love stay with us long after they're gone.

Today, I hope you have the opportunity to celebrate the father figures in your life—whether that's your dad, grandfather, bonus dad, stepdad, mentor, or someone who has lovingly stepped into that role when you needed them most.

✨Some cookie orders carry a much deeper meaning.

Recently, I was honored to create 60 custom cookies featuring the United States Navy seal and the name of a veteran being laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery. These cookies were shared with family and friends following the burial service as a small remembrance of a life well lived and faithfully served.

After the ceremony, my client shared that guests couldn't believe they were cookies and many said they were too beautiful to eat and planned to save them as a keepsake of the day. Knowing these cookies brought comfort, sparked memories, and became part of such a meaningful gathering is something I will never take lightly.

As a veteran myself, this order held a special place in my heart. It was a privilege to help honor a fellow service member and contribute, in a small way, to a day of remembrance, gratitude, and respect.❤️⚓

Some cookie orders are extra meaningful because of the impact they help create in our community.

I had the opportunity to bake cookies for a training hosted by the Best Practice Court Team, a group of dedicated professionals working together to improve outcomes for children and families navigating the court system. From judges and attorneys to educators, community service professionals, and Rappahannock CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates volunteers, these individuals invest their time and expertise to make a difference in the lives of others.

Knowing these cookies would be enjoyed during a day of learning, collaboration, and community partnership made this order especially rewarding. I love that cookies have a way of bringing people together—whether it's for a celebration, a remembrance, or an important conversation that helps strengthen our community.

✈️🌍One of my favorite parts of traveling is experiencing how different cultures do baked goods. The bakeries here in Mykonos are not just filled with beautiful sweets — many also serve fresh sandwiches, café foods, pastries, and giant donuts
🍩

What surprised me the most? The cookies are much lighter and less dense than what we’re used to in the States. Different textures, different flavors, different traditions… but still the same joy.

No matter the country or language, cookies and sweet treats have this magical way of bringing people together and making people smile. Food really is its own universal language. 💛

🇺🇸Memorial Day holds a special place in my heart. Today is about intentionally honoring and remembering the brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for the freedoms we hold so dearly.

As a veteran owned bakery, having served alongside incredible men and women, I carry deep respect for those who made the ultimate sacrifice and for the families who continue to carry their memory and legacy every day.

Through this bakery, I have been blessed with the opportunity to create sweet moments, celebrate milestones, and be embraced by such an amazing community.

Today, I pause with gratitude and remembrance for those whose sacrifice made these moments possible.

May we honor them not only today, but always. ❤️🇺🇸

🍼There’s something so special about being trusted to create cookies🍪 for moments that celebrate new life🚼, growing families, and the sweetest new beginnings.

This set was full of sweetness before anyone even took the first bite. 💕

One of my favorite things about custom cookies is knowing they become part of the memories — sitting on dessert tables, making guests smile, showing up in photos, and helping celebrate life’s most meaningful milestones.💗
