🌈Rainbow Crystal Candy Giveaway🌈

Pride month may be officially over, but for many of us, it never ends. Pride is so much more than just a few weeks of rainbows. It's community. It's love. It's acceptance. It's showing up when things are hard. It's being there for each other. Often, it's struggle. The beauty is how we all come together and get through it together.
I wanted to give back to the community as a way to show my appreciation. I wouldn't be able to do this without all of your support. The love this community has shown me has been remarkable, and I'm proud to call Tallahassee my home.

Common Ground Books and the 1102 crew are throwing a huge Pride market to end the month in a spectacular fashion. Over 40 vendors and nonprofits as well as a DJ will be filling 4 shops within the 1102 mall, out front, to the side, and in the back. Come shop local and support the community!

Kohakutou - Japanese Crystal Candy
These candies are made with agar-agar to create a firm, smooth jelly inside, while the sugar crystallizes to form a satisfying crunchy outer layer. These are vegan and completely allergen free! The box pictured contains 6 flavors: Strawberry, Tangerine, Lemon, Lime, Blue Raspberry, Grape, plus a cup of sour dipping powder!

Dot Cakes - two layer cake with vegan buttercream and topped with a layer of rainbow plant-based sprinkles, this viral cake trend is served in a round cup.

Lavender Earl Grey Shortbread Cookies - this perfectly balanced shortbread recipe includes tea leaves mixed in for an elevated dessert experience that's not too sweet and delightfully fragrant.

Sourdough Starter - a dehydrated portion of my mother sourdough culture that is well established and ready to bake with after rehydration. Comes with easy instructions.

Brown Butter bars, to store for the next time I need it. 🥰
The dark brown bits are part of the brown butter, with that rich caramely flavor. It's the main ingredient in my Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, if you couldn't guess.
How would you use this butter? 🤤
I'll definitely be experimenting more soon with molds better suited for this!

Meet the Baker/Artist!
I've meant to post one of these for quite a while. Honestly, I've been a bit hesitant to be vulnerable and put more of my personal life on my business socials, but I do think this is a necessary and healthy part of growing my visibility and truly putting my heart into my work.
You can call me Bek, or Bekah. I'm a Tallahassee based small (very small!) business owner and artist. I enjoy gaming (currently playing No Man's Sky) and my happy place is the beach. My life is controlled my little 12 pound Shih-Tzu and I wouldn't change that for the world.
Hopefully my work conveys that I'm a creative soul because that's truly what keeps me going. Creativity is at the heart of all I do, in my edible offerings and my art, but also oftentimes as a means of survival in a world not quite accommodating to people like me.
I'm neurodivergent (autistic/adhd), and disabled with quite debilitating auto-inflammatory/auto-immune conditions. I know I'm often less active or missing entirely from social media and the community, and that's due to my health. I truly appreciate anyone who chooses to come back and support me during my "on" moments. I'm currently awaiting a referral to The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and will need to save for travel expenses, so please know that any support is genuinely appreciated and truly helps keep me going.
I have rebuilt my life and rediscovered myself after years of trauma and survival - and while I shouldn't have had to be, the strength I gained from all of that and the confidence I'm building my life around is unbreakable. I'm now very much unapologetically living my truth and that includes being heavily involved in the lgbtq+ community as a q***r woman.
While I do try to do as many markets as possible, I'm also trying to get into catering to avoid the summer heat. Please reach out with any inquiries and I'll see what I can do to make your event memorable and suited to your needs.
I'm excited to see where my dreams take me. I hope to see you along the way. 💖

Fun fact: I have ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) so I genuinely struggle with many textures and flavors that I work with!
